White With 1 April Challenge
"Dream"

Hello everyone. I've just finished my layout for this months White With 1 Challenge. This months criteria is "white + grey + tags". I have to say that I do soooo love this colour pallette. I think it has a real classy look . I have used my favourite photos of my God Daughter when she was about eight months pregnant. I have scrapped these photos before but I do so love them. Now I have just done an online series of classes over at "Miss Arts Papercraft" School with the amazingly talented "Solange Marques". My God, what this woman can do with paints & mediums is absolutely incredible!!! She is a true artist.
Now my background paper started its life as a piece of black paper with white script on it. You would never know that to look at it now. This technique Solange calls "fusion". Where you fuse your photo & page into one & blur the edge. Now this is my first attempt on my own with this technique & although I know I need loads of practice still, as it is not as easy as it looks, I am rather pleased with the results. It probably doesn't look like it but there is hours of work in the background alone, before you even start on your layout!!! And you know what, I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. I do love to step out of my comfort zone from time to time.
Along the lower edge of my layout I have used yet another technique she taught in these classes & I thought it all really lent itself to my layout. Isn't it wonderful when you learn a whole lot of new things. I have been using all of these various mediums, various mists & loads of paints,  but this is using them in a totally different way & I am really happy with the outcome.
I have tucked my tags, four in total,  tied together, in behind the main photo. I took inspiration for this idea of tying them together from the lovely Heather Jacob. Thanks Heather, I thought this was a great idea. I have done loads of edge distressing, as always, I do so love the shabbiness of distressing. I have also used lots of lovely Green Tara flowers & lace. Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you like my layout, until next time.    Cheers Di  xoxo
