Page Drafts Christmas Cheer
Sketch #17.4
"Merry Christmas"

Hello everyone, I'm back again with yet another Chrissy layout.
This time I joined in the fun with very talented Emma Stafrace,
over on her site, "Page Drafts".
For those of you that are not familiar with this site, pop over
& take a peek. It is fantastic & dedicated solely to "sketches".
So many to choose from.

Em has just release seven  NEW sketches today with a
fabulous Chrissy theme. I have chosen to do this one.
Instead of the fourth photo I used this sweet little
2 Crafty chippie Reindeer instead.

Lots of Christmas berries, holly, Christmas Bells & gold stars as well
as this fabulous ribbon from Green Tara. This is definitely one of
my faves.

Throw in a little stamping with some NEW Chrissy stamps that I have
also been dying to use too. Love these with "North Pole" post marks.

I have  used some 2 Crafty chipboard circles from a great big
nested pack as well as this title "1st Christmas".
Well that just about sums it up.

Make sure you pop over to "Page Drafts" & check out
 Em's fabulous sketches.

Until next time.

My 2 Crafty Chipboard
DT Reveal

Hello everyone. Today I would like to show you two  layouts I
have done for my DT post over on the 2 Crafty Blog.

The first one I have used lots of mediums,
stencilling (I love this script stencil),
misting, stamping, more misting & lots of inking too.
I was very happy how this background turned out.
I have also used lots of Green Tara flowers too.

First up I have used a 2 Crafty chippie phrase,
"Captured Memories"

In this pic you can see I have used one of their little
"Tiny Kathleen's Frames". One of my favourite pieces.

I have also used two of their chippie borders. I
used a  Tahnyah's 11" Border as well as a
Tahnyah's 6" Border. I just cut them both in half, &
offset them on my page so that they
peeked out through my flower clusters.
I so love these two pieces. So beautifully fine & delicate.

Now for some Christmas!!!!

I thought I would do some alternative Christmas colours on this layout.
Again I have done a mixed media background & I have stencilled
some snowflakes. I have also put "Stickles" glitter on
absolutely everything. Unfortunately you
can't really see it in these pics!!

This gorgeous title, "Merry & Bright" is one of many from the
2 Crafty range. I have applied
a generous amount of "Diamond Dust" to add some
 great texture & sparkle.
In this pic you can see these gorgeous "Blitzen" Reindeer.
These are just so beautiful. I love their flourish type antlers.
Again I have used yet another "Henri's Tiny Frame".
These are such a great size.

All the flowers , ribbon, lace & Crystal Sprays are from

Some mixed media treatment on my background.

Last piece of chippie on this layout is one from a pack of
"Scalloped Circle Frames", they have several different
size circles in the one pack.

This bow is one of the many beautiful ribbons
from Green Tara.

Well thats all for today.
Why don't you visit the 2 Crafty Blog or Facebook
& see what the rest of the team have been up to.

R.I.P.
My Beautiful Poppy Girl

I just wanted to do a little tribute to my beautiful baby girl,
"POPPY".
Sadly she passed away yesterday.

She was 11yrs  which for a staffy dog is quite old.
We rescued her from the pound eight & a half years ago
when I sadly lost my then staffy, Chloe, to cancer.
We thought we weren't able to save Chloe from the ravages
of cancer, so we would go to the pound
& save another little dogs life.
That is when we met Poppy at age 3 yrs.
She has been our little girl ever since.

She truely was the most beautiful natured little dog.
Always obedient & extremely affectionate & loyal.
My husband & I only have sons, so we always say,
to the amusement of eyeryone, that she is the
daughter we never had!!!

I know it is hard to understand such grief if you are not
a doggy person, but it is like loosing a child.
It really is. Those of you who are doggy people, will
know exactly what I mean. When your kids grow up
& move out & you become an empty nester, you place
all of your affections onto your pets.

I am devestated, & my heart is just broken in two.
I loved her so very very much.
She was such a major part of my life.

I will love you forever my bubba girl.

My Kraft It Up DT Reveal
"Busy Doing Absolutely Nothing"

Hello everyone. Thanks for calling by.
Today I have my DT layout for Kraft It Up.
This months criteria is
"What YOU Want for Christmas"
It doesn't necessarily mean presents, it might be what you want
do over Christmas, what you want to experience or perhaps
where you want to go!!!!

Well I knew straight away what I want to do over the
Christmas break,
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!!!!
That is what I have called my layout,

"Busy doing absolutely Nothing".

I work full time, sixty plus hours a week,
as I own a scrapbook shop & I'm not getting any younger.
I'm on four DT's, co ordinator on two of them as well
as my family & home so life is pretty darn hectic.
So on these holidays I don't want
to do anything. Hence my title!!!!!

I live in a beachside suburb on the sunny Central Coast of NSW
Australia. We are surrounded by several beaches & my idea of
paradise & total relaxion is a cocktail in hand, a comfy chair
& the ocean.
What better way to charge your batteries.

Lots of little beachy chippie elements coupled with
my favourite Green Tara jute ribbon & one of their
little white flower sprays.

A few shells from our local beach.

My signature distressed edges.
A little Gesso here & there as well as
a few hessian scraps.

Well that just about wraps it up.
I do hope I have given you a little inspiration to join in
the fun over at Kraft It Up this month.
Until next time.

I have also cut the Ornament Sampler in half so that I had two pieces.

I've done a little stamping on the background as well as a touch
of distressing too, I loooooove distressed edges.

I have also used this gorgeous Green Tara striped ribbon
This is one of my all time favourites.
The little Cherry Blossoms are also from Green Tara.

Lastly I have die cut some holly leaves to complete the theme.

Well thats it from me, I hope I have inspired you to join in
the fun this month over at White With 1.

My Green Tara DT Post
Two Extremes
Vintage & Modern

Hello everyone. Thanks for calling by the blog.
Today I have three layouts to show you for my monthly DT
 reveal for Green Tara.
Firstly I have this vintage layout to share, called
"Those were the Days".

For the top flower cluster I have used one of the new
Satin Rosettes in a beautiful sage colour & it has a pearl centre.
I have teamed it with one of their small Ivory roses.

For my bottom cluster I have used another one of their NEW flowers,
this one is called a  Primula. It is a black/grey with a hint of green.
Just a perfect vintage colour.

I have used four different beautiful Green Tara trims here,
all in Ivory. I have actually woven them in the corner but when
I put my flower cluster on I covered the weaving up!!!
That wasn't very bright was it?

All of these beautiful chipboard pieces I have used are from
2 Crafty chipboard of course.

For my next layout I have stepped waaaay way outside of my
comfort zone & done a modern/minimilist layout called

"The Magic of You"

Now for those of you that are  familiar with my work,
you will know what I mean, I never do minimilist so I
have stepped up to the plate on this one.
Firstly I have used that new Green Tara Wired Cord that I used
a couple of months ago, that I made the wreath with. I have just
twisted & curled it around an awl until I was happy with the shape.
It kind of reminds me of 3D doodling!!!
I'm really happy with how this cord turned out,
just something a little different.
I have also added one of the Green Tara Silver Stems in
peacock blue which I have
broken up into several pieces & scattered here & there.
Next I added some purple Skeleton Leaves to highlight the wings.

Here I have used another one of the many Green Tara ribbons,
this beautiful Shimmer Threaded Ribbon in a midnight blue.
This is the most gorgeous ribbon. I love love love it.
Midnight blue teamed with purple, a match made in heaven.
I have also used some of our beautiful new fabric flowers,
the Primula & Heirloom flowers, both in purple
& a few little roses thrown in for good measure.
In my top flower cluster I have used another piece of my
Twisted Cord as well as a Sakura flower & another one
of the new Green Tara flowers, the purple one is called a
 Lollipop flower.
In this photo you can see a close up of one of their sweet little
Rainforest Butterflies in Lavender with a few
roses which I misted to get the correct colour
& finally some mini flowers scattered around.

Again my chipboard word is from my favourite,
2 Crafty Chipboard.
*************************
"Dream"

This was a layout I did months ago, some of you may have seen it way
back then, but I am in the habbit lately of changing things!!!
When Green Tara got their latest release of NEW flowers,
as soon as I saw these little Primulas in this lovely soft
green, I took off the ones I previously had on there & popped
these ones on instead. They really look much better!!!
Well I think they do.

I have  used some gorgeous Green Tara lime Bud N Bow trim
as well as one of the many Green Tara laces.
This beautiful pink flower is one called Heirloom, these comes in
lots of gorgeous colours. I have also used lots of their Roses as well as
some little Rosebuds tucked in here & there.

Again all of my chipboard, including this gorgeous corner,
Title & my sweet little frame, are all from 2 Crafty Chipboard.
Lots of stencilling & misting on my background to create
a backdrop as well as lots of distressing to finish off with.

Well thats all from me today. I hope I have inspired you a
little, to use some fabulous Green Tara flowers & trims on
your next project.
All of the Green Tara products I have used here are
listed on my post over on the Green Tara blog.
Until next time.
