My Scrap Around the World
August DT Reveal
"You Make Me Happy When Skies Are Grey"

Hi there friends, thanks for calling by.
Today I have my DT reveal for the August challenge over at the
Scrap Around the World  blog.

This is the fabulous August moodboard created by Marilyn Rivera.

I have taken my inspiration from the all white photo in the bottom row as
well as those amazing "au natural" cane shoes.

Hence I have gone with an all white palette & the corrugated I have used
simulates the cane shoes & then I added just a hint of pink like the
tiny pink roses on those beautiful shoes.

Now I have used this gorgeous photo of a young friends baby girl.
She looks like a little angel, don't you agree?

I have used some great 2 Crafty chipboard including this title,
"You Make Me Happy When Skies Are Grey" which is one of
their new releases. I'm sure this bubba makes her Mummy happy too.

Lots of mixed media on my background as well as another 2Crafty chipboard piece,
The  "Heart Frame" which I cut up & included in my layers underneath the photo.
I thought this worked rather well.

I was inspired to use a real old crotcheted lace doilley, the same as the ladies dress
in the photo & I have layered it underneath the photo.

A few pretty flowers again inspired  by those on the shoes & I
have also tucked a pale pink feather in at the side of the flowers
just like in the ladies hat in that photo.

That pretty much sums my layout up.
Such an inspiration moodboard. Thanks Marilyn Rivera.

I hope you too will be inspired to join us this month at
Scrap Around The World.
They have six amazing prizes up for grabs too.
