My First Kit I Have Designed for
"The Scrapbook Diaries"

"Be Yourself"

Hello! I am so excited to be able to finally share with you my very first kit I have designed for
Besides having an AMAZING online store , they also sell Designer Kits and have a very inspiring blog. Their kits ALWAYS includes a step x step video tutorial too.

There are no subscriptions to anything. You just visit the store here and choose what page kit you would like. With each kit you get the tutorial as I mentioned, as well as enough materials to create TWO layouts. So you actually get two layouts for the price of one. You can choose from different options such as the full kit that will include EVERYTHING or a couple of other options
that include less items in case you already have some of the things included.

Her are a few close ups.  I have used lots of beautiful 2Crafty Chipboard
including this beautiful frame, the chippie foliage & the title.

This kit features a great mixed media background & as I said before,
full details on how I have done this are all included in the video tutorial.

There are so many yummy things included in the kit, from flowers, lace, string of pearls
& the list just goes on.
Make sure you pop over to The Scrapbook Diaries & check it out.
It is now on sale along with the step by step video tutorial.

Until next time.

My 2Crafty April DT Reveal
"A Glimpse of You"

Hello friends, thanks for calling by.
Today I have part two of my April DT reveal for 2Crafty Chipboard.
Now this is a very special layout to me as I am going to become a Grandmother
for the second time in late September & this is the ultrasound photo.
It is not very clear but it is super special to us & I just had to scrap it.

2Crafty Chipboard Used

All the chippie pieces were firstly given a coat of gesso.
That acts like an undercoat or primer & makes it much easier
to then colour & gives a bettter result too.
The hearts & border were then given a brushed on  coat of "Turquoise Blue" Glimmermist.
The words & hearts were coloured with some Kaisercraft "Candy" acrylic paint.
The foliage were coloured using some "Frayed Burlap" Distress Ink.

Love these new Lace Heart Frames & as you can see, I have put the
ultrasound photo in one & a sweet little quote in the other.

This title "A Glimpse of You"
is a new release item. I thought it was perfect for my layout.

I just love the way these Lace Heart Frames  match this Stitch Lace Border too.

Another new release item to the 2Crafty range is this Foliage Set #1
which I have added some bits here & there for a nice little accent.

Some more of that same Foliage Set #1 & a few Butterflies scattered around the page.

Well thats all for today. I hope I have inspired you to perhaps get hold of some
wonderful 2Crafty chippies to use on your next project too.
Until next time.

My 2 Crafty Chipboard April DT Reveal
Part One
""Mia"

Hi there friends, thanks for stopping by.
Today I have part one of my April DT reveal to share with you & naturally I
have used lots of gorgeous 2Crafty chipboard.

2Crafty Products Used

A friend of mine (Joanne Bain) has inspired me to try to do the whole "white space" thing.
Now for those of you that know my style, you will know that this is so left of centre
for me, BUT, I gave it a go and you know what, I LOVE it.

This gorgeous little munchkin is my Grandaughter Mia.
You will notice I have her name on my layout in chipboard, well
2Crafty will do specialty orders. Vanessa at 2Crafty made me a whole sheet
of the word Mia in all different fonts, so I have plenty to use.

All the chippies were firstly coated with gesso,
followed by a coat of simple acrylic paint.

The Mia word, the 2014 date & the mini hearts were also wiped over
with a little Stickles glitter to add some sparkle.

I think the main feature on this layout, apart from the beautiful photos of course,
would have to be the "Corner Delightfully Floral". Now as the name
implies it is a corner but I have cut it in two to make it a border strip instead.
How gorgeous is this chippie piece ??

I'll be back in a couple of days with part two.
Until then.

My DT Layout for the April Sketch Challenge at
The Scrapbook Store
"Dream"

Hi there friends, thanks for stopping by.
Today I have my DT layout for the April sketch challenge over at
They choose a RANDOM WINNER & the prize is a $50 store voucher.
Pretty good prize don't you think?

Here is this months sketch. I flipped it and changed it up a little !!!
and after having to do three boy layouts as part of my DT work last
month I had a BIG need to something flowery & girly, definitely
a flower over load !!!!

I created my background using Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays.

As always I have used lots of my favourite chipboard from
Including this gorgeous
Ornate Screen, Carita's Swirl, Dandelions & Dream Mini Word.

I am absolutely loving these little "glass beads" at the moment.
They are certainly the icing on the cake.

Lots of stamping.

Lots of layers & textures & even more flowers !!!

Well I hope you find time time to join in this months sketch challenge too.
Until next time.
