My January DT Reveal For
More Than Words - Mini Challenge
(Cards, Tags or ATCs)

Hi there friends, welcome to the very first
 "More Than Words" MINI CHALLENGE.
Now the Mini Challenge is only open to cards, tags & ATCs,
no layouts, canvases or art journals allowed.
You only have one week to get your entry in,
thats why we call it a mini challenge !!!
Because it only goes for one week every month.
The Mini Challenge for January is that you have to use the
word "BE" on your project & it has to be visible.

Also you don't link it via our linky tool on the blog,
you actually upload it on our facebook page, as a comment,
directly underneath this challenge image. (like the one above)
 Too easy.
The winner, as chosen by our DT, wins a
fabulous $25 chippie prize pack from Dusty Attic.

Here you can see on my card I have used the words, "Be wonderful".
Lots of fussy cutting, 2Crafty chipboard & Petaloo & Prima flowers.

Well I hope you can find the time to join in our mini challenge too.

Until next time.

Part Two of My January DT Reveal for
Maja Designs
"Memories"

Hi there paper friends. Thanks so much for stopping by.
Today I have another layout I have created as part of my January DT work for  Maja Designs.
I have used both their "Vintage Spring & Summer Basics" paper collections & I have to say
I am really enjoying working with the Maja Design paper collections because they
all mix & match so brilliantly together. Makes our job as scrapbookers so easy !!!

I have cut this word "Memories" from the Vintage Summer Basics "Memories" paper to
use as my title. This particular paper has all sorts of great tags, words, postcards &
all manner of ephemera that are perfect for cutting out to use as embellishments etc.

I have also included some lovely metal embellishments too.
I looove those scissors.

I have also cut some tags & labels out of that same "Memories" paper & I have used them
to create some great layers both at the top & sides of my photo. In the above photo you can
also see the gorgeous "1926" paper as well as the reverse side of "Memories" papers,
both from the Vintage Summer Basics collections.

For my background I have used the "1st of April" paper which is from the
Vintage Spring Basics collection. I just love that little bird in the top right corner too.
All of the chipboard I have used, including this gorgeous Ornate Screen are from

Here you can see a close up of the detail I have added in the corner of my layout.
On the background, if you look closely, you will see I have added some gauze which I
adhered with a gel medium before stencilling over the top of it to create some wonderful
texture. I have also added some Olive Vine Glimmermist for added colour as well as
 a little background stamping.

Back soon with another project. Until then.

My 2Crafty January DT Reveal
Part Two
"Father & Daughter Moment"

Hi there everyone, thanks for stopping by.
Today I am back with another Christmas layout & naturally I have
used lots of 2Crafty Chipboard from their extensive Christmas range.

This layout features my eldest son & my grandaughter.
I was sooo happy how these pics turned out.

2Crafty Chipboard Used...
Father & Daughter Moment-title
Christmas Polaroid Frames
Fine Snowflakes
Tiny ATC Hearts & Stars Multi Pack

The "Father & Daughter - title" & the "Mini ATC Stars" were simply painted with
red acrylic paint & when dry I added a little  Stickles glitter to add a festive feel.

The "Christmas Polaroid Frames" were also painted with red acrylic paint.
When dry I used a small brush & some gold metallic paint to paint the little words.

I have used gold embossing powder to heat emboss some "Fine Snowflakes"
which I have used to layer underneath the polaroid frames & to add a little sparkle.

I have finished off by adding some gold micro beads around the layout
to add to the festive feel.

It makes you feel good when you manage to get this many photos on a layout
without it feeling over crowded, don't you agree?

Well thats all for today. Back soon .

Until then.

My 2Crafty January DT Reveal
Part One
"Christmas Elf"

Hi there everyone, thanks for stopping by.
I was fortunate at Christmas time to get some great snaps of my
Grandchildren & I was just dying to scrap them & naturally I
used lots of gorgeous 2Crafty Chipboard.

2Crafty Chipboard Used...
Tiny Hearts & Stars Multi Pack
Christmas Holly Flourish
Christmas Elves
(changed to Christmas Elf)
2015 Dates Multi Pack
Tiny Henri Frame

This layout, features my gorgeous baby grandson along with
both my hubby & myself, taken on Christmas day. The bubba looked soooo
cute in his little elf suit. :)

I have used one of the hundreds of great titles that 2Crafty have in their range.
This title actually said "Christmas Elves" & I asked Vanessa would she change
it for me to say "Christmas Elf". 2Crafty do custom orders like this all the time.

The "Christmas Elf -title", the "2015" date, & the "Tiny ATC Stars"
were all given a coat of gesso & then simply coloured using a purple mica powder.

The "Christmas Holly Flourish" & the "Tiny Henri's Frame" were both given a
coat of gesso, then I coated them in Gel Medium & sprinkled them with
glitter. When dry I brushed on some green mica powder to colour them.
I thought this gave them a very festive look.

As you can see I have cut the flourish into three pieces to use in
various places on my layout. Good value.

This gorgeous Santa was actually on a gift bag & I couldn't
resist cutting him out to use on my layout. :)

Well thats all for today, I will be back in a few days time with
another Christmas layout using 2Crafty Chipboard.

Until then.

My First DT Post as Part of The Maja Designs DT
"One Love"

Hi there paper friends, thanks so much for stopping by.
Today I have my very first post to share with you as part of the wonderful Maja Design DT.
I have created this layout featuring a very old photo of my parents on their wedding day
& I have used four different papers from Maja Design "Enjoying Outdoors" collection.
They are so beautiful & have a true vintage feel to them. Just perfect for this photo.

For my background I have used the "Time For Reflection" paper. I just love this type of
patterned paper for backgrounds. I have also added a little stamping & misting to it as
well as some lovely gold micro beads.

I cut these sweet little tags from the "Tags & Journaling Cards" paper. There are
lots of great things on this paper, I will have enough bits to do several projects with.

For the panel down the left side of my layout & also behind the photo I have used the
"Feeling Good" paper. It is a lovely vintage paisley design. All the chipboard I have
used is from 2Crafty Chipboard. You can see here that I have added some tiny purple
micro beads to the chippie roses to tie in with the colour of the papers.

The beauty of creating with one collection is that it is designed to mix & match
& they all compliment each other beautifully.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit to the blog today & that I have inspired you
in some small way. Until next time.

My Very First DT Reveal For
More Than Words Challenge
"Life Documented" - The Selfie !!!!

Welcome to the very first challenge for
"More Than Words" challenge blog.

The challenge will always be a WORD & CREATIVE CHALLENGE.

What does the word 'PERSONALITY' inspire you to create? You can choose to
use the word somewhere on your project or to simply be inspired to create from it.
Please explain in your blog post how it inspired you, if it's not obvious.

The creative challenge is ‘SELFIE’. Use a selfie! It is as easy as that. All the DT have
used a selfie of themselves in order to introduce themselves to you during our very
first challenge*, but for your project, you can use a selfie of yourself or anyone else
(kids, husband, best friend, etc). Or, if you have no selfies, any photo of you will be fine.

I think these selfies of me really show my personality, because I am a really
happy & positive person. To me the glass is always half full,
never half empty !!! I love to clown around & laugh, so these
selfies really sum up my personality.

I have used lots of gorgeous 2 Crafty chipboard here
including the title, Film strip, glasses,

As you can see I have gone with the whole film theme.
From the stamped film edge on both the top & bottom edges of the paper
also around my pics & I have included a filmstrip as well.

Lots of mixed media on my background as well as
a good measure of stamping too.

Well thats our first DT reveal done. I hope you are inspired to
join in the fun with this very first challenge.
There are SIX PRIZES up for grabs too.

Until next time.
