Cards for My August Card Classes

Hi their lovelies, thanks for stopping by.
Today I have some cards that I have made for the monthly card classes
that I teach at my LSS. These are also available as a kit too.
This month I have chosen a theme of hand made flowers teamed with
this amazing shoe stamp & die  set from  Heartfelt Creations.

This shoe card opens up & is free standing.
I have heat embossed the stamping in gold for
a rich feel. I have coloured these cards using Distress Inks.

A little mixed media tag on this one teamed with some hand made flowers.

Hope you like them.

Until next time.

My July 2Crafty DT Reveal - Part Two
"Hello"

Hi there paper friends. Today I have part two of my July DT reveal for

I have based my layout on the current challenge over at
This is their challenge board for July & I have used several of their sprays including....
Hottie Patottie Pink
Click on colour for link

I have used these pieces of 2Crafty Chipboard.

6" Circle Lace Panel
Hello - title
Hummingbird

I created a mixed media background with texture pastes, stencils & Lindy's sparys.
This is the new released "Hello - title", don't you just love this font?
After a coat of gesso I simply brushed on a little pink Lindy's spray
& diluted it with some water to create a watercolour effect. Sorry this
detail hasn't showed up in the photo !!

I adore this new "Hummingbird" chippie so much, I decided to leave it
raw so that all the fabulous details that are engraved into it, could show up.

I also coloured up lots of my flowers with the Lindy's sprays too.

Next up, I cut up the "6" Circle Lace Panel" into several pieces.

I gave the pieces a coat of gesso to basecoat it & then followed that up with
several different colours of Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays brushed on very randomly,
before brushing on a little water. Again, this creates a real watercolour effect.

Well thats all from me today.
I hope I have inspired you in some small way.
Until next time.

My July DT Reveal for 2Crafty Chipboard
Part One
"This Face Makes My Heart Smile"

Hi there friends, thanks for calling by.
Today I have part one of my July DT reveal for
2Crafty Chipboard to share with you.

I have based this layout on the current sketch challenge over at
 13arts.
To see a full 13arts product list used-scroll to bottom of post.

2Crafty Chipboard used...
11" Tahnya's Border
Element Set #1
This Heart - title
Tiny ATC Hearts & Stars

I have kept this layout very monochromatic with just a little silver for contrast.

My first step was to coat all the chippies with a coat of gesso.
I have used the 2Crafty  11" Tahnya's Border vertically.

I have then painted it with some 13arts Ayeeda paint in Old Silver & while it was
wet, I sprinkled on some lovely fine glitter. Looks really sparkly in real life.

For my "title" & also the little "ATC Hearts" after a coat of gesso I then
simply painted them with some Ayeeda's silver acrylic paint mixed with some of their navy blue
mist mixed in, to get the colour I was after. I then followed that up with a brush
over with some water to wash it out slightly & make it a little uneven.

I have done a mixed media background using various 13arts products,
as well as spraying my flowers to get just the right colour.

Lastly I have treated a piece of the "Elements Set #1" the same as the
Tahnya's Border. I cut it in half so that I could run it down the side of my page.

13 ARTS PRODUCTS USED
13arts Texture Paste
13art Mist - Pastel Blue
13arts Mist  Pearl Navy Blue
13arts Mist Pearl Graphite
Ayeeda's Paint Matt Blue
Ayeeda's Paint Old Silver

Well thats all from me today. Until next time.

July Cards
Some Handmade Poppies

Hi peeps, thanks for stopping by.
Today I have some cards that I made for the monthly card classes
that I teach at my LSS. These are also available as a kit too.
This month I have chosen a theme of hand made
poppies using some Heartfelt Creations Stamp & Die sets.

All of these flowers are simply stamped onto white cardstock & then
I colour them with Distress Inks. I have used two or three different
colours & just blended them.

I love the way all the details of the stamps still show through the colouring.
I have also shaped the flowers to make them look more realistic too.

Love these flowers, think I am addicted to making them. :)

Thats all from me today.
Until next time.

My 49 and Market July DT Reveal
"Cherish"

Hello and welcome to the blog. Today I have another layout to share with for 49 and Market.
This layout features the gorgeous  “Flower Fairies of Spring” collection.
The paper I have used here is called “Windflower”.
Isn’t it just the most glorious paper you have ever seen.
Naturally I just had to fussy cut out all the fabulous fairies & flowers. I couldn’t help myself.

For my background, to contrast with all the fabulous pinks, I have chosen  to use “The Report”
from their “Vintage Artistry” collection. I love all the papers in this collection as they
are just perfect for backgrounds & have lovely soft & subtle details. You can see here I
have elected to do a little stencilling on it, for some added texture.

Now my favourite part has to be this delightful fairy !!!! Isn’t she beautiful? She was
fussy cut out of the paper too. The perfect embellishment for any little girl layout.

All these  flowers are from the 49 and Market collections .....
“Rustic Green Blooms”, “Rustic Green Mini Daisy Blooms”,
“Rustic Barn Medium Blooms”, “Rustic Barn Small Blooms” & the
“Rustic Canvas & Burlap Small Blooms”.

As I said before, I coloured lots of these with various Shimmerz Paints.

All the chipboard I have used is from 2Crafty Chipboard

For the stamping on the background, I have used two different stamp sets from the
49 an Market collection. I used the “Gabbi’s Butterflies Are Free” set and also the
“Gabbi’s Loose Threads” set. These were both designed by the super talented
Gabrielle Pollacco. Particularly loving the threads stamp.

 49 and Market Products Used

Well thats all from me today.
Until next time.

My More Than Words July DT Reveal
"Enjoy - Escape"

Welcome friends, can you believe it is the first of the month already ?
We are past the half way point of the year !!!!!
Anyway today I have my DT reveal for the July challenge over at
More Than Words challenge blog.

This month we have a sketch challenge for you & our
inspiration word is SMILE. Make sure you use both parts of the
challenge to be eligible for any of our EIGHT fabulous PRIZES.

I was inspired to use this photo where the girl is standing in a fabulous
field of flowers, that scene would be enough to make anyone smile. :)

As always I have used lots of yummy 2Crafty Chipboard.

I mixed a little paint in with my texture paste so that my stencilling
would be green to match my photo. One has to think a little harder
when using a black background, but I'm happy how it turned out.

Lots of beautiful flowers, leaves & vines from both Prima and Green Tara.

Lots of string which I am totally obsessed with lately !!!
As well as a sweet little flair from Flutterby Designs.

Well thats all from me today.
Until next time.
