My "Scrap Around the World" DT Reveal
December Challenge
"Timeless Beauty"

Hello there everyone, thanks for calling by. Today I have my DT reveal for
the December challenge at "Scrap Around the World" blog.

Scrap Around the World

This months challenge is hosted by Design Team member
Zaneta Glowa aka Zanka from Sweden.

 Loove this mood board.
(click on pic for a close up)

Feel free to interpret Zankas mood board in any way you like, using one image,
several of them, all of them or even just one aspect of an image,
using ANY COLOURS! Our sketch is OPTIONAL!!

Please let us know HOW YOU WERE INSPIRED!!

I  used the sketch but I flipped it over & took a few liberties with it !!!!
I also took my inspiration from the gorgeous patina frames in the top left
of the mood board & the aquas & purples from some of the
paper rolls & then I just ran with it.
I have used a selection of beautiful chipboard frames from
2 Crafty chipboard,
three to be precise & simply cut them in half
& just poked them in here & there.

I have given my frames a faux "patina" look like the ones on the mood board.

Lots of background treatments using various mixed media & I have to say I am
really enjoying re visiting glitter. Haven't used it since last Christmas but I am
loving using it here teamed with rusty looking corrugated. A total opposite but
I think it works.

Lots of gold accessorising for an opulent feel, again all drawn from the fabulous mood board.
I hope I have inspired you to perhaps join in this months challenge at
"Scrap Around the World".
They always have such fabulous prizes on offer as well as lots of great
inspiration from all the DT girls. Make sure you check it out.
Until next time....

My Green Tara December DT Reveal
Part One
"Daughters are Special"

Hello there, thanks for calling by the blog. Today I have part one
of my December Green Tara reveal to show you.
I have gone with lovely summery colours & naturally
I have used some beautiful Green Tara blooms.

In this photo you can see the fabulous yellow " Heirloom" flower teamed
with a lime "Sakura" as well as an aqua "Gardenia" & to complete my cluster
I have added my favourite "Green Velvet Leaves". I have yet to find a colour
that these leaves don't work well with. Because they are wired you can poke them
anyway you like & they stay put. I always curl the wire ends to create tendrils
for a touch of realism. You can also catch a glimpse of one of the many Green Tara
"Washi Tapes" tucked in underneath the scallop on the bottom of the page.

Next up I have used some of Green Taras great
"Herringbone Ribbon"
in aqua to create some little banners.

Lots of background treatments with all sorts of things & a
few little Green Tara mini "Rosebuds" in yellow to
wrap around my flourish.

All of the beautiful chipboard here is from
 2 Crafty chipboard.
Thats all for today, stay tuned for part two of my reveal.
