Hi everyone. Thought I would share my layout for this weeks challenge #95 over at The Color Room. This weeks colour pallette was red, pink, green & black. Such a pretty colour pallette. I have also used their sketch which I must say I am rather happy with. They just make it so easy for us. Thanks TCR girls.
Now for my background I have created these lovely textures & then finished it off with some Pearl Glimmermist. Rather pleased with the outcome. I so adore this photo too, a friend of mine gave it to me. She did a photo shoot with her daughter. How clever are you Sue???
I have used lots of lovely 2 Crafty chipboard & some yummy Green Tara leaves & Roses in various sizes which I have Glimmermisted to achieve the right colours. Thanks for stopping by & for any comments you may care to leave. Cheers Di xoxo

Bird is the Word & CSI #1 Challenge
"Remember"
Hello everyone. I would like to show you my layout I have finished for Bird is the Word & Challenge #1 over at CSI which is a NEW challenge blog. This is the first time I have played along at BITW & I thought it looked like a fun challenge. This is also the very first challenge for CSI which is a great new challenge blog with a fabulously innovative criteria. BITW criteria is to use the word "Remember" in your title. CSI colour criteria were two shades of green, yellow, terracotta & grey, plus a few other elements.
Now let me introduce you to this beautiful lady. Her name is Olive Colless. She was my Great Grandmothers sister & I am so lucky to have this gorgeous photo of her. I am very fortunate to have many many old photos like these that my own Grandmother passed on to me. I am the family keeper of all things special. Basically I have always been a sentimental fool I suppose!! I met her a few times when I was very very young child & I remember she was a jovial great big old chubby lady. Hard to imagine that when you look at her in this photo.
I have been wanting to scrap some more of these old photos & these two challenges gave me the push I needed. I have to say I really enjoyed playing along with both of these challenges & I will definately be playing along on both again. Thanks for stopping by & for any comments you may care to leave.
Cheers Di xoxo

The Color Room Pallette #92 "A Mothers Love"
Hello everyone. Hope you are enjoying the holidays. Today I wanted to show you all my layout I have just done for the current challenge over at The Color Room. These are not colours I would normally scrap with but I have to say I absolutely LOVE it!!!! Fab colours. Thanks again to TCR for pushing me out of my comfort zone I do so adore this photo & I have been waiting for the right layout to put it on.
I have created my background with loads of Gesso & Glimmermist to achieve the exact shade I was after and I am really pleased with this shade of purple. I think it goes great with this shade of red which is also another Glimmermist colour. It's a shame you cannot see the shimmer & shine in the pics.
This page was a Glimmermist overdose!!! I have coloured all of my yummy Green Tara flowers with Glimmermist as well, they were all originally white. I have also used lots of chipboard as well.
Lastly I have finished off with some Tim Holtz metal, including a keyhole, locket & mini frame. I do hope you like this & perhaps leave me some comments. Until next time. Cheers Di xoxo
