Well hello there, thanks so much for stopping by.

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your family

& friends & that Santa was good to you.

No doubt you have taken lots & lots of photos over this
Christmas season so I have just one last Christmas layout
to help inspire you to get some of those photos scrapped !!!

A Christmas to Remember - title

WARNING THIS LAYOUT IS SADLY NOT A KIT.
I will be back creating lots more kits mid January!!

This one is just one for my own album.

                            After firstly creating & stencilled background & adding lots of glitter

to it, although that is not easy to see in a photo, I then did some background

stamping, added lots of lovely layers
 & then set to work customising my chipboard pieces.

The chipboard "title" & the little "Stars"were just given
a couple of coats of red acrylic paint. Too easy.

I then added some "Glossy Accents" to make the stars really
shiney & finished them off by brushing  a little
white gesso over them.

Next up I used the middle sized frame from the 

"Messy Frame Set"

to frame my photos & help draw the eye.

I basecoated it in white acrylic paint, dried it off before 

wiping it over with a brown Distress Ink Pad & giving a tiny

 spray of water which makes the ink runny & patchy & also

waters the colour down too. Always a good shabby technique.

I did the same technique on the little

"Filmstrip" at the top of the page too.

Lastly I cut up one of the "Holly Vine Corners", to use at the right

side of my photo. I painted it in a lovely green watercolour paint

& then gave it a light spray of water to make the watercolour

paint a bit runny. This gives it a nice shabby vibe.

“My Christmas Angel”A Mixed Media LayoutDesign Team Project for 2Crafty Chipboard

Hi there and hello, thanks for stopping by.

Today I have a mixed media Design Team project for
2Crafty Chipboard
using some of their wonderful chipboard pieces.
THIS ONE IS SADLY NOT A KIT
These pics were taken back in 2014 & are of my gorgeous little 
 doggy who sadly crossed over the rainbow bridge back last year.

I began by creating my background with stencilling, sprays and stamping
before commencing with all the layers and then the fun part,
 altering the chipboard !!

For the chipboard title, I simply painted it with red acrylic paint.
Too easy !!

 

The gorgeous little chipboard snowflakes I heat embossed
in gold embossing powder and then tucked them in under
the edges of my photos.

Lastly came the little chippie
"Brushstoke Christmas Tree"
which I sprayed in green and then finished it off
with lots of glitter to make it sparkle !!
I then tucked it in behind the left photo.

My Beautiful Girl - Title

To start with I have painted both this sweet little title,

“My Beautiful Girl” as well as one of the “Frame Chains” in a 

couple of coats of white acrylic paint as I wanted them to really

“pop” on the page.

Next up I set to work of both the “4” Mandala” and also a few pieces

of the “Mini Flourish Bits”. Firstly I base coated them in a coat of white 

acrylic paint, dried them off & then I made up a paint wash with water and a dab of

brown paint, mixed it up and then very roughly brushed it over the pieces.

This "4"Mandala #3" is such a lovely chipboard piece and works so well

tucked in with all the layers on my page.

In this photo above you can see here one of those gorgeous

a little “Mini Flourish Bits” tucked into my flower cluster.

"Whats A Girl To Do"A Mixed Media Design Team Project For2Crafty Chipboard

Hi there, thanks for stopping by the blog.
Today I have a mixed media layout to show
 you that I had lots of fun creating !!

This layout is not going to be a kit & is simply

 a design team creation for 2Crafty Chipboard.

After creating this mixed media background using

lots of stencils, Dylusion sprays & stamping I then set

about choosing my chipboard pieces!!

I decided that title
"Whats A Girl To Do"

was perfect & would suit all sorts of pages.

I had actually sprayed my flowers to match the layout & I

felt by adding the little chipboard "Lattice Leaves" & painting

them black just helped bring it all together.

I think the other star piece on this layout would have to be the

"Arials Spray", it is such a beautiful flourish piece & kind of

underlines the title perfectly too.

 Well I hope you like my layout today & I will be back with my next

I just love the earthy natural feel of this kit and of course all the lovely textures too.

From the corrugated, to the string bow, to all the frayed muslin,

to the micro beads. I just think it has such a great vibe.

Soooo happy how this kit turned out.

Today I have a new little mixed media layout to show you & it

is my latest "Design Team" project for my good friends over at
2Crafty Chipboard.

UNFORTUNATELY I WON"T BE RELEASING THIS ONE AS A KIT

AS I HAVE USED LOTS OF OLDER PRODUCTS FROM MY STASH SO

THIS ONE WILL GO STRAIGHT IN MY ALBUM !! 

After firstly creating my background with lots & lots of layers,
I then set to work adding all the lovely 2Crafty chipboard pieces
& flowers, string, shells & micro beads.
All these things help to add wonderful textures.

 I have maintained a totally neutral colour palette
& with all the different textures I think that worked well.
