My "Scraps of Darkness Kit Club"
July Reveal Part Three
"The Perfectly Stunning Kit"

Hi friends, Thanks for calling by.
Today I have my third project I have created using the
wonderful "Perfectly Stunning Kit" which is the latest
kit from the "Scraps of Darkness" kit club.

I have to say I have reallly loved working with this kit
and have been really happy with the projects I have made using it.

To see the first layout I made using this kit, click HERE.
To see the second layout I made using this kit, click HERE.

Just to change things up a bit, I thought I would cover this little case.
I have covered it using a couple of the Kaisercraft Heirloom collection
papers from this kit. It is soooo easy to do. Just get out some
"Modge Podge" brush it on the case a section at a time & simply
tear pieces of paper & stick them down so that they overlap,
then brush on some more "Modge Podge" to seal it.

When dry I decorated it with some little metal corners so they won't get
scuffed. Then I decorated the lid using some of the Prima flowers which
are also from the "Perfectly Stunning" kit as well. I finished off with this
metal word which I had left out of last months kit, a piece of cut up doilley,
a bow & some leaves. Hey presto, all finished.

A really simple project & a great one for using up left over papers.
You can cover all sorts of boxes using this technique. Ideal for gifts too.

Well thats all from me today, & hopefully I will see you back again
when the next kit is realeased shortly.

My "Scraps of Darkness Kit Club"
July DT Reveal - Part Two
"Dream"

Hi there friends, thanks for calling by.
Today I have part two of my July reveal for
Scraps of Darkness Kit Club.
This is my second layout I have done with this gorgeous
"Perfectly Stunning Kit".

There were soo many yummy goodies in this kit & the papers were
just devine. The first layout I made with this kit was a steampunk wedding
layout which I made with the new Bo Bunny "Somewhere in Time" papers
from the kit & this layout is made from the Marion Smith "Nirvana"
 papers, also from this kit.

Click HERE to seethe Steampunk Wedding layout.

I loved these papers because there were lots of things & words etc
that could be cut out. Ideal for those layers.

Here you can see the frame which also came in the kit.
It started out white but I have given it a faux patina look.

Underneath my flower cluster I have also included this little metal
birdcage which was also in the kit, I simply painted it up to match.

Some flowers which were also included in the kit,
& a few extra from my stash.

This fabulous jute trim was also included in this kit too.
A really beautiful kit that I thoroughly enjoyed creating with.

Lastly I finished off with some of my favourite 2 Crafty chipboard
including the "Dream" mini word, this gorgeous "Parisian Border"
& some pieces of "Thistle Shrub".
To read about the techniques I have used on the chippies pieces,
pop over to the 2Crafty blog where I explain it in detail.

Until next time.

My "Scraps of Darkness Kit Club"
July DT Reveal - Part One
Steampunk Wedding !!!

Hi everyone, thanks for dropping by .
Today I have part one of my reveal using the
"Scraps of Darkness"
June  "Perfectly Stunning Kit".
Ooooh & what a stunning kit it is & it
features a few new release paper ranges  including this
one I have used here, which is a new release from
Bo Bunny & is called "Somewhere in Time".
Definitely a new fave paper range.

I have fussy cut this gorgeous torsolette out from one of the papers
& acessorised it with some frayed muslin that I sprayed to match, as well
as some pleated black organza  ribbon layered underneath as well.

I have also used lots of fabulous 2Crafty chipboard cogs & gears
which I have heat embossed in gold to add to the whole glamour vibe.
All the details of what I have used on the chippies is all listed on the
2Crafty blog.

I also fussy cut some fabulous little hot air balloons from one of the papers
& popped them in here & there.

I went crazy with my stamping !!!!
Love the look though.

I added some yummy metal clocks too.

I think this is my new fave layout of all time &
I hope you like it too.

My Scrap Around the World
July Design Team Reveal
"Love"

Hi there friends. Can you believe it is July already?
Being the 1st of the month I  have my
"Scrap Around the World"
design team reveal to share with you today, based on their
fabulous moodboard which was designed by DT member Tusia Lech.

July moodboard

I have taken my inspiration from the colours, the whole
soft & pretty vibe that is oozing from this beautiful moodboard,
the bow on the lamp as well as the pic with the brush inspired me
to do some mixed media on my background & also on my chipboard.

Now this sweet little baby girl is my Granddaughter Mia & she is not
very happy in this photo as she had just had her immunisation shots
the day before in preparation for going overseas to visit her other
Grandmother. Hence NO smiles & a very stern look!!!!

I have been doing so many brights lately that I wanted this layout to be all soft & pretty.
Lots of lovely flowers & lots of my favourite 2 Crafty Chipboard
including the chippie foliage, butterflies & Word Circle,
all of which I have used various mixed media on to give the effect I was after.

Lots of pretty soft & delicate details to set the scene.
Lots of stamping & inks.

Lots of pretty soft pastels inspired by the SATW moodboard.

Well that is it for yet another fabulous moodboard.
I hope I have inspired you to join in with us this month at
Scrap Around the World challenge blog.
As always they have six fabulous prizes up for grabs
as well as a monthly facebook draw for entries also loaded in
there too.

So what are you waiting for girls,
start scrapping.

Until next time.
