Hi everyone. Here is my layout that I have just done for the current challenge over at The Color Room. The current pallette is pale pink, bright pink, white & silver. Such a beautiful pallette. Thanks to Lydell & the others for giving us such beautiful colour pallettes to work with. I have also used the card sketch for my layout. They just make it so easy.
I have used both Gesso & Glimmermist with a stencil for my background, & I am rather pleased with the outcome. For the silver component of the challenge I have stamped & heat embossed the leaves & then did a little "fussy cutting" & added them to my clusters. I have also added some silver to my words to tie it all together.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you like this layout. Leave me a comment & tell me what you think. Until next time. Cheers Di xx

Scrap the Boys October Challenge "Your New Shoes"
Hi everyone. Here is my layout I have just done for the current challenge over at "Scrap the Boys". This months criteria was to include "handmade embellishments". Hence I have made my little Banner, I have stamped & made all these little tickets & I've tied a knot in some material that I have attached to my cogs.
Now, I have a fabulous NEW toy. It is an electric edge distresser by Zutter called "Distrezz-it-all". It cost me a fortune, can't get them here, but WOW, I have to say it is fabulous. (I have used it along the top edge of the page). If ever you get a chance to have a go at one I would highly recommend you give it a try. It is sort of like running an electric saw along the edges of your paper. It really is an extreme edge distresser. Does one side in about five seconds. Love love love it, but then again, I really like distressed edges.
I have also Glimmermisted, sewn, border punched, stamped & flung lots of paint around. I used this yummy chippie wire mesh from Dusty Attic & steampunk cogs by Twiddleybitz. I am rather happy with my end result. Hope you like it too. Until next time. Cheers Di xx

White With 1 October Challenge "Just Love You"
Hi everyone. This is my layout I have just finished for this months challenge over at the White With 1 blog. This months challenge was to do "White +Black+Paint/Mist". I absolutely love this colour scheme, very striking, plus I always use paints & mists anyway, so this challenge was for me.
Firstly I would like to point out my background as I am very happy how it turned out. I have layered up printed tissue by Collections with lots of muslin, loads of gesso & fininshed off with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmermist. I am really happy with the whole "texture" of this backgrounnd.
As the background is so "busy" I have just kept the rest fairly simple to create a nice balance. I have used this gorgeous "Dusty Attic" chippie tree. So love this tree.I have simply painted both the tree & the words just plain matt black to create total contrast to the busy background. Lastly I have finished of with some flowers & some yummy skeleton leaves, roses & beautiful metal disc all from Green Tara of course. Until next time. Cheers Di xx

The Color Room Challenge #78 "Just Because"
Hi everyone. Hope you are all enjoying the school holidays & getting plenty of scrapbooking done. I have just completed this page for challenge #78 over at The Color Room . I just loved this colour pallette, so soft & pretty, so I thought I would go "feminine & girly".
I have stamped all the background which is actually just plain Bazzill cardstock. I love this set of Pink Paisley stamps that I have used here. I am very happy with how all this stamping turned out. I have also very lightly misted the background in white. Don't know if you can actually see this though. Also done some "fussy cutting" here too.
I have used lots of Green Tara flowers which I have applied "Diamond Dust" to the edges of the larger petals & to all the other flowers I've given a light coat of "Glimmer Glaze". I have also used Green Tara lace & this gorgeous little Prima Bird House. Lastly I gave the little chippie words & makeover with some Impasto Medium to create a little texture before being painted.
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time. Cheers Di xx

"Black With 2" October Challenge "Sweet Girl"
"Black With 2" is a fairly young site & like everything else you have to start small & gradually grow. It would be really great if some of you girls out there in Blog Land could give this little site a try & help them to grow. It would be really good to have some of the "talent" that is out there participating occasionally.
Anyway thanks for stopping by.
Until next time. Cheers Di xx
