Guest Designing for "Berry 71 Bleu"

Hi there friends.
Today I have a layout I have created  as "Guest Designer" over at
Berry71Bleu.
I have used this adorable pic of my new baby Grandaughter, Mia.

Their challenge this month is to include some handmade flowers.

I have made five different flowers on my layout & I have also
included a couple of pre made ones as well.

In this pic you can see this orange one (on the right) I made using cardstock, a Spellbinder die
& some stamens for the middle. I think the secret to making it look like a purchased one, was
to use lots of layers, curling the edges & then the stamens add a touch of realism.

In this cluster I have actually made three different flowers.

# 1...Firstly the orange one on the left, is again another Spellbinder die & again I curled
all the petals but on this one I added touches of glue to the stamens as well as the middle,
& then I sprinkled gold micro beads which naturally stuck to the glue. I was really
happy how  this one turned out.

#2...The second flower I made in this cluster is the pink one which I made by cutting out
some petals in pink paper & some in pink netting. Next I alternated paper, then netting,
then paper & so forth. I thought the netting just added a little something extra.
Again I finished off with a few stamens in the middle.

#3...The third flower in this cluster (bottom pink one) was simply made from
a length of pink netting twisted, & simply stuck down in a circular fashion,
on to a circle or cardstock.
Just make sure that the card is not visible. Too easy.

The last handmade flower on my layout is this  Rose in the bottom corner.
Again I used a Spellbinder die, cut it out of some orange cardstock, inked the edges
in a different shade of orange, glued it together & then rolled all the edges to make
it look like a real rose. To finish it off, I wiped a little bit of Stickles randomly over
the edges lightly for a bit of added sparkle. All finished.

All of the chipboard on my layout, including this custom made name,

I would like to thank
for inviting me to be their guest & I hope you have enjoyed
my layout too. Thanks again.

My 2Crafty Chipboard April DT Reveal
Part Two
"Just Be You"

Hi there friends, thanks for stopping by.
Today I have part two of my April reveal for 2Crafty Chipboard.

I have continued with my "BOLD & BRIGHT" theme this month.
When I am creating bright coloured layouts I love to simply paint
my chippies black. I think the plain & simple black makes a real impact
when teamed with bright colours, it is also one of the easiest treatments
you can give your chipboard too.

I have started here with one of the many 2Crafty chippie titles,
"Just be You" , says it all, don't you agree ?

In this pic you can see I have also used their
"Squiggly Heart Border"
here underneath the photo. Love how fine this piece is.

Underneath my photo I have also used a
"Filmstrip - Small" .
2Crafty make these filmstrips in several different sizes.

I have also used some various sized "Butterflies".
The larger ones are from one pack & the little ones
are from a mini pack.  Again 2Crafty have a huge range
of butterflies available.

Well thats all from me today.
I hope I have inspired you to check out the great range
of chipboard the 2Crafty have available.

Until next time.

My 2Crafty Chipboard April DT Reveal
Part One
"Cool"

Hello there friends, thanks for calling by.
This month for my 2 Crafty chipboard Design Team reveal,  I have decided to go
 BOLD & BRIGHT.
I always love strong colour, as I think it makes such a statement.
This was my first attempt doing a layout using Watercolour Pencils
along with paints to create my background.
Loved them & I will definitely be using them more often.

I love this colour combo, so bright & happy.
On this layout,  I have used one of the little 2 Crafty chipboard
"Speech Bubbles" which come in a multi pack with lots
of different words that make perfect titles.

Here you can see after firstly painting it black, I simply outlined
the word to highlight it & then popped a piece of pink card behind it.
Too easy.

I also used one of their 6" "Circular Panels"
I  have cut it into several pieces & just added
it  here & there throughout the layout. Out of one 6" sheet I will
get two layouts. Pretty economical, don't you agree ?

I have also added some of their "Chevron Bits"
as well as some of their "Gears"

To finish off with I have added  a little "Light Bulb" which is yet
another great 2 Crafty chipboard product.

Well that just about wraps this up. I will be back later in
the week with part two of my 2 Crafty Chipboard  April DT reveal.
Until then.

My First "Heart & Soul" DT Reveal
"Love"

Hi there friends. Thanks for calling by.
Today I have my first DT reveal for "Heart & Soul"

The Color Room & Scrap for Help have combined & are now
known as Heart & Soul. This is their second challenge & this is
the lovely moodboard to inspire you.

This is what I was inspired by. I have used all the colours &
the household item that you have to include in this challenge
is a "clothing tag".

In this pic you can see I have tucked a clothing tag in at the side of my pic.
I salvaged this off something that had been sitting in my mending basket
for way toooo long.

I love this colour palette. The yellow & black with the naturals, always a great combo.
As always, I have used some pieces of my favourite 2Crafty Chipboard.

Lots of background treatments.

Well thats my interpretation of the challenge, I hope you like it
& perhaps join in the fun too.
Until next time

My Scrap Around the World
April DT Reveal
"You"

Hi there "Scrap Around the World" fans.
Can you believe we are into April already !!!!
That means another fabulous NEW moodboard for the April challenge
which was created by DT member, Rikka Kovasin.

"Scrap Around the World" April Moodboard

So this was the inspiration for my layout. These pics are of  my neice &
this was a selfie she took with her phone. I love it & I thought it was perfect
for my layout. I wanted to go a bit grungy & messy instead of
my normal feminine style.
Good to step outside ones comfort zone occasionally !!!!
From the moodboard I took the colour scheme, butterflies,
crackle paper on my background, the quote (love this) &
lastly, the spectacles. (Been dying to use these)

Lots of stamping & paint & textures on my background.

There is my butterfly, I stamped it & the cut it out.

Popped that little quote in, perfect for a teenager me thinks.

The icing on the cake has to be these gorgeous little spectacles.
These are actually chipboard & are from 2 Crafty Chipboard,
as is all the chipboard on this & every other layout I do.
They have an incredible range with over two thousand different
pieces to choose from.

I still had to include a few flowers, I don't think I could do a layout without them !!!

Well I hope I have inspired you in some small way to perhaps join in the fun
this month & be inspired by this great moodboard over at
"Scrap Around the World".
Until next time.
