For my "Testimony" I have journalled four favourite things & I have used one of the inspiration words. This little tag tucks in behind the photos.

For my "Evidence"  I have used four things.

 3. Is Distressing  4. Four Patterned Papers.

I was really happy how this page turned out, especially my brickwork & the background too.
I have used three gorgeous 2 Crafty chipboard pieces :
 Geneive Corner Flourish
 Word & Tiny Henri's Frame.

I have also used lots of different Green Tara flowers, Roses & Vines  & I did a little handmade one too.

Well thats all for today. I hope you liked my page & perhaps pop over to CSI & join in the fun. This is such a great challenge blog.

I'm a Guest "Special Investigator" for July at CSI
#29 "Magical Memories"

Hi everyone, thanks for stopping  by. Today I have my layout to show you for the current challenge #29 over at CSI. I am a Guest "Special Investigator" for the month of July & I am really having fun solving the cases.
For my Evidence I have used 1. Paint & then sanded 2. photo on an angle 3.Something with a weathered look is my background  4. Stripes.

For my Testimony I have journalled "two sides" plus I have used one of the inspiration words "delight". I have tucked my journal tag in behind the right hand photo.

I have used a 2 Crafty chipboard  Bird Cage, Words & these gorgeous chippie Fern  Leaves. All of which I have simply just painted black to create a nice contrast to my background on which I have done some paint effects on. I really like these chippie Ferns mixed in with the other flowers.

All of my yummy flowers are from Green Tara of course. I especially love this big Turquoise flower in the centre of my cluster. This is definately one of my favourites. The aqua flower trim across my layout is also another one from Green Tara. It was actually white & I misted it aqua to match.

I have used some more Green Tara goodies here with these pink Flower Sprays  & aqua Skeleton Leaves to finish off  my cluster.

A  little Texture Gel, Mists, Paint,  Stamping, Sewing & Edge Distressing  complete my background.
Until next time.
Cheers Di  xo

I'm a Guest "Special Investigator" for July at CSI
#28 "Everyday Moments"

Hello everyone. Thanks for calling by today. I have got my layout for #28 over at CSI to show you. As always another fabulous case to solve. This is this weeks criteria is :

For my "Testimony" I have used five things, I have used a robot, circles, repitition, metal & created shadows with inks.

I do love this little chippie word "Everyday Moments" in the circle from 2 Crafty chipboard of course. They have a huge range of all sorts of great pieces & soooo many words to suit. I have also used a little bit of this lovely Black Fringed Trim from Green Tara just to add some texture.

For my "Testimony" I have journalled in a circular fashion on a circle journal spot.

Well thats about it for today. If you get a chance, pop over to CSI & check it out. It really is such a wonderfully innovative challenge site, so cleverly done. Until next time. Cheers Di xo

My "White With 1" D.T. Layout
Love, Cherish, Adore

Hello bloggers. Thanks for stopping by. Today I have got my D.T. layout for "White With 1". Sorry I'm a little late in posting it on my blog. I've been so busy, sometimes life just get in the way!!
This months criteria is
WHITE  +  POLKA DOTS (any colour)  + TAPE.
Now I have to admit,  until now I have not been a big user of any sort of tape, maybe the odd bit on a boy layout, but I tried to think outside the square!!! So this is what I came up with for using the tape.

Firstly I covered a couple of 2 Crafty chipboard  hearts with some "Tim Holtz" tape. Now I can't take credit for this idea as Tim himself had done this in his class that I attended last month & thought it was a great idea.
Secondly I simply added another strip of the same tape to a strip of cardstock & just distressed the edges & simply added it in amongst my layers. To finish the whole tape thing off I then just lightly inked all these pieces to tie in with my colour scheme. Too easy.

You can see in this pic I have also used some more 2 Crafty  Mini words for my title
"Love Cherish & Adore" as well as this little lock & key, also from
2 Crafty. I have given the little
lock & key a bit of a faux metal finish. I have also used lots of gorgeous Green Tara flowers, of course,
as well as my bow is also one of theirs. I am very into bows on layouts at the moment & lucky for me, they have a huge selection to choose from. The lace on my layout is also from Green Tara, yummy!!!

Well thats about all for today.  I hope that perhaps I have given you a little inspiration to join in this months challenge & perhaps play along with us over at WW1.
Until next time.
Cheers Di  xo

Woo Hoo I'm a "Special Investigator"
at CSI for July
"Enjoy the Moment"

Hello bloggers. I am sooo excited to share some news with you all. I was invited to be a
Guest Designer over at CSI for the month of July. We are called "Special Investigator". Oh I am so thrilled & flattered to be invited. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity Debbie.

This is Case File #27 & here  is the criteria. Such a lovely colour palette & a great set of "clues" to go with it. In my layout I have used a rare photo of myself, even though it is not a perfect photo as there is some shadow on my face, it fitted the criteria well. What a shame we can't go back in time & re take such pics.

As you can see I have used lots of "mediums" on my background & about four or five different mists to achieve some nice textures & a blend of colours. I was rather happy with the outcome of my background. I have also used a 2 Crafty chipboard word which I cut up!! I often do this, I just trim them to say what I want & then save the bits I cut off to use on another layout! This actually said
"Enjoy this Moment This Moment is Your Life". I have also used one of their beautiful Flourish Borders called   Hariet's Border.

For my "Evidence" I have used  four  pieces to solve my case. I have used flowers, leaves, sparkles in the shimmer of my background & a rainbow effect of sorts. I have created a sort of rainbow effect in my background with the use of mists, "definite artistic interpretation" me thinks !!!!! Of course all my beautiful flowers & leaves are Green Tara of course.

Now for my "Testimony" I have used two things. Firstly I have journalled about the outdoors & secondly I have started my journalling with "a taste of something wonderful" which is taken from the testimony list. This photo was taken on the deck of a Cruise ship whilst sipping a cocktail & embarking on a wonderful holiday so this is what my journalling is about.

Well thanks for stopping by & I hope if you have time you might join in the fun over at CSI.
Until next time.
Cheers Di  xi

My Kraft It Up D.T. Layout
"Paris City of Love"

Hi everyone, just want to show you my  DT layout I have just done for this months challenge over at Kraft It Up.  Here is this months criteria.
*Something you want/wish to do in the future...
* Think bucketlists, lifelong wishes etc...
Your layout needs to be created on Kraft patterned paper or Kraft cardstock and MUST have journaling.

Soooo, I have based my layout on Paris where I would love to visit the Paris Opera House, which is where
"The Phantom of the Opera" was set. As I said on my journalling tag, I think I am a sentimental old fool!!

I have used this gorgeous 2 Crafty chipboard  Eiffel Tower. I sooo love this piece. I have simply painted it black & added a touch of Copper Ink to bring it to life. So simple.

I have included lots of layers from our favourite Graphic 45, all Paris oriented of course!!! You may also notice in my close up above,  my cute little "Phantom" poster, again courtesy of the internet!!

I have done lots of stamping & I have used a Dusty Attic chippie "Paris Postmark" here as well.

I found this beautiful photo of the Eiffel Tower taken through gates, on the internet & lastly I have fussy cut this gorgeous lady to add  a touch of fashion to my layout.
Well I hope I have given you a little inspiration to join in with us this month over at "Kraft It Up".
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.
Cheers Di  xo
