Guest Desining at CSI
Case File #60 "Just The 2 Of Us"

Hi everyone. Thanks for calling by.
This is my last  week as Guest DT over at CSI
& this is my take on this weeks challenge #60
These are some photos of myself & my hubby on the
night of our wedding all those years ago.
I look at these & think how very very young we both were !!!
Here we are all these years later, still together & so very happy.

As 2 Crafty Chipboard is sponsoring CSI this month I have
naturally used lots of their yummy chipboard on my layout including :

Title - Just the Two of Us
6" Tanyah Flourish Border
Rosies Corner
Funky Hearts
Small Bird
Clock Frame

For  my "Evidence" I have used six things.
1.  Hearts      2.  Bird      3.  Layers
4. Circle (Clock Frame)
5.  Decorative Border
6.  Something Glossy (glass light globe)

For my "Testimony" I have journalled a letter to my husband on
this tag & slipped it in behind the photos.
I have told him how much I love him & that I really
couldn't imagine life without him. I really think that
it is great that we still feel like this after all this time.

As I said earlier  these pics were taken on my wedding night.
My wedding anniversary is 26th February so this layout
is a gift to my husband for our anniversary.
These Graphic 45 papers were just perfect with all
the little February bits.

These pics are so old now & my husband even has a moustache.
That was back in the 70's when it didn't have to "Movember"
to wear one. How things have changed.

Lots of Green Tara roses & rosebuds used here.

Thanks for taking the time to read my little story.
Until next time.

So Happy To Be "Featured" At
Once Upon a Sketch February Challenge
"Somewhere Over The Rainbow"
R.I.P.
My Beautiful Poppy Girl

I just found out that my layout with my
beautiful Poppy girl was "Featured" over at
Once Upon A Sketch.
Thank you so much to Nadia & all her team.
I think I will certainly find some time to
join in again next month.
This truly warms my heart as this layout
really means a lot to me.
Thank you OUAS.

Hello everyone. Thanks so much for calling by.
Today I have my layout for the February
Once Upon a Sketch challenge to share.

This layout is very very SPECIAL to me.
This is my little dog "Poppy" who died just before Christmas.
This is the first layout I have done of her since she passed away.
It has just been too painful.
She was my baby girl. My sons are all grown up & my hubby
& I are now empty nesters. So Poppy was the light of our lives.
We used to say she was the daughter we never had.
We only have sons you see.
I'm sure people thought we were positively mad,
but we truly LOVED her. She was a really
big part of our lives.
So, it only seemed fitting that I do this layout,
about my love for my beautiful little girl, "Poppy".

I have journalled on a little tag which I have slid in behind
the photo.

My good friend Vanessa over at 2 Crafty Chipboard made me up
this beautiful title, "Somewhere Over the Rainbow".
Thanks so much Vanessa, this was just what I wanted.
I love that they do custom made.
The flourish on the left is also from 2 Crafty chipboard too.

Obviously I have used lots of pretty flowers & leaves,
because I so wanted it to be girly & feminine.
Most of the flowers, leaves, Jute ribbon & lace are
from Green Tara.

Thanks so much for calling by & taking time
to read my little story about my beautiful "Poppy Girl".
Until next time.

Guest Designing at CSI
Case File #59 "Unforgettable"

Hello everyone, thanks for calling by.
Today I have my layout for challenge #59 over at CSI where both myself
& the other 2 Crafty DT girls are Guest Detectives !!!

The photo I have used here is of my youngest son Kale
& his lovely financee Ashlee. They are so in love & I think it
really shows. The wedding is set for June this year.

This is the"Case File" for this weeks challenge.
For my "Evidence" I have used five things.
1.  Distressing
 2. Bird
 3. Something glass (a light globe)
4. Branch
 5. Texture Paste

Naturally I have used lots of  2 Crafty chipboard
 on my layout including......

Word-Title "Unforgettable"
5" Floral Frame
Bird with Branch

I have given the chippies lots of various paint effects using
crackle paints as well as some lovely metallic paints too.
I looooove this NEW  little "Bird on a Branch",
 definitely a favourite.

I have also used lots of my favourite  Green Tara
flowers & velvet leaves. Together they give such an opulent feel,
especially when teamed with the metallic colours of my chippies,
so warm & rich.

For my "Testimony"  I have journalled  using
two of the inspiration words, love & perfect.

Well that just about wraps up yet another case file.
I do hope you can find the time to perhaps join in the fun
over at CSI too, it really is the most fabulous concept for
a challenge & always so much  fun.
Until next time.

Inspired Blueprints Challenge #81

  "Happiness"

Hello everyone, thanks for calling by.
Today I wanted to share my layout I have just done for the
current challenge #81 over at Inspired Blueprints.
I have to say it really has been ages since I have had a
chance to do any challenges. I have just had so much
on my plate lately, but this month I think I have caught up,
so here we go.....

This is the sketch for this month.

These photos I have used of yours truly were taken a few years ago,
I had about twenty taken at the time & I think I have only
 scrapped a few!!!!
So this month I'm trying to get some more of them done finally.

I firstly want to thank my good friend Kim Price for the
inspiration for my background. Kim has a tutorial for this
"water colour" look, on her blog. Thanks Kim.

I have used some NEW release chippies from 2 Crafty.
Love this little corner & flourish.

I've also used some Green Tara flowers & leaves & then finished
off with some stamping & painting.

Until next time....

Guest Designing for CSI
Case File #58

"Magical Memories"

Hello everyone. Thanks for calling by.
So happy to be "Guest" Designing for CSI again this week.
2 Crafty chipboard are sponsoring CSI this month so the
2 Crafty DT girls & myself are playing along. So much fun.

Again another fantastic case to solve as well
as a fabulous sketch by the talented  Emma Stafrace.

Obviously I have used lots of gorgeous 2 Crafty chipboard
on my layout, including...
Parisian Border
Title...Magical Memories
Mini Film Strip
Fencing Wire Panel

For my "Evidence" I have used five things.
1. Wood (clock tucked in the right side)
2. Metal (a couple of metal washers  & a quote strip)
3. String     4. A jagged edge
5. Washers (I have painted them to look a bit grungy)

For my "Testimony" I have written about a comparison,
then & now, & tucked it in behind the left photo.

I have given my chipboard border & title a bit of a "Faux"
metal treatment using some texture medium & then some gorgeous
metalic paints sponged on.
The Mini Filmstrip  is simply just painted with acrylics.

Some beautiful Green Tara flowers & leaves plus a few old ones
I had tucked away in my stash to soften & add texture to the page.

A little bit of background treatment,
a little bit of leftover Fencing Wire Panel tucked under a few flowers,
some sewing & a little paint & gesso thrown around, & all done.

Thanks so much for calling by & I hope you too might find
some time to join in the fun over at CSI.
It really is an amazing challenge site.

Until next time.

My Green Tara DT Reveal
Part Two....

"Those Eyes"

Hello again friends. I'm back with the second half of my
Green Tara DT reveal. I do love this pic of my best friends
Grandaughter. She really does have beautiful eyes, don't you think?
When I saw this title from 2 Crafty chipboard  I knew I had just
the perfect photo, & so this layout was born...
I have used so many beautiful Green Tara products here.

Including all of these BEAUTIFUL flowers. A full product list of
all their names are over on the Green Tara  blog.
All of these beautiful trims & lace I have used here are
also from Green Tara too.
They don't just have flowers, they also have a massive range
of  ribbons, lace & various trims too.

Lots of beautiful blooms including some with tiny pearl centres.
Silks & gorgettes, so opulent.
Tiny roses in various colours & sizes tucked in here & there.
Mini Filmstrips & Mini Fobwatch from 2 Crafty simply
whitewashed & tucked in between  my flowers
.

One of my favourite Green Tara ribbons is this
"Organza Rosebud" ribbon which I have tied my bow with.
It really is so so sweet with little roses embroidered
along it.

Well thats all from me for today.
Thanks again for calling by.
Until next time.

My Green Tara DT Reveal
Part One.....

"Dream"

Hi there, thanks for calling by.
Today is my turn up on the Green Tara blog.
This is my first DT layout for Green Tara this month,
I'll share the other one tomorrow.

I have scrapped yours truly. I had all these pics taken a couple
of years ago & I think I have only scrapped a few of them,
Funny how we rarely scrap ourselves!!!

Naturally all of my beautiful flowers I have used here are from
Green Tara. The complete list of what I actually used is up
on the Green Tara blog.
I've also used some of their maple leaves too.
 I loooove these.
I tucked in some 2 Crafty "Chicken Wire" underneath
my cluster & scattered some Green Tara Mini Flowers in black
around the page to add a little accent of colour.

I have also use some Green Tara "Paper String" to create this
frame for the photo. It is actually paper so it is really easy to
manipulate as opposed to ordinary string. It is great stuff to twirl etc
as it holds it shape, & it comes in loads of
different colours & is really cheap too.

Well that just about wraps this up for today.
Stay tuned for the second half of my post tomorrow.
