My 2Crafty Chipboard October DT Reveal
Part Two
"Live Your Adventure"

Hi there paper peeps. Thanks for stopping by.
Today I have part two of my October DT reveal for
I have gone with an earthy
colour palette using the chippie pieces shown below.

 2Crafty Chipboard Used..
Live Your Adventure-Title
Harlequin Clumps
Brick Panel
Bird Set

I started out with this awesome NEW title to the 2Crafty range.
I simply coloured it with some Distress Ink & clear embossing powder &
heat embossed it & then I brushed on a little Shimmerz Inklings in a hit & miss
fashion to add a kind of rustic metallic look over the top.

I cut the  "Brick Wall" panel into pieces & I heat embossed
using Lindy's Stamp Gang Cleopatra Copper embossing powder.
Then I brushed over some Shimmerz  "Blue My Mind" Inklings.

I did exactly the same to the "Harlequin Clumps".
The two things combined gives a great patina effect.

Lastly the birds were coated with gesso, then using my finger I blobbed on some
texture paste, dried that off with a heat gun so that it would bubble up like this,
& then I finished off with a wipe over of Distress Ink in Brushed Corduroy.

Well thats all from me today.
I will see you back here again in a few days time.

My 2Crafty Chipboard DT Reveal
Part One
" Adore & Cherish"

Hi there 2Crafty fans. Thanks for calling by.
Today I have part one of my October DT reveal for
I have chosen to do a monochromatic colour scheme &
I have based this layout on the current Prima BAP sketch challenge.
(To see the full Prima products list scroll down to the bottom)
Prima October BAP Sketch

As well as lots of gorgeous Prima products, I have used the
fabulous 2Crafty chippie pieces shown below.

 2Crafty Chipboard Used..
Celia's Flourish Frame
Leafy Shrub Set #2
Mini Words #2

Here you can see I have used a couple of pieces of the "Leafy Shrub Set #2".
This set is definitely one of my go to pieces.

All of the chippies I have used on this layout were firstly coated with gesso.
Then on this piece I coloured it by adding layers of Prima sprays & mica powders
until I got the colour I was after. Then I brushed a little more gesso on for highlights.

I coloured some flowers up to match my layout using some
 Prima sprays & mica powders.

I have used both the words "Cherish" & Adore". for my title.
Both of these pieces are from the "Mini Words Set #2".

Both the words & this gorgeous "Celias Flourish Frame" were just simply
given a lick of white acrylic paint. Too easy.
I think the stark white makes a nice contrast to the monochromatic
colour of the mixed media background.

After firstly coating my background with gesso, I then used a fab Prima stencil,
followed by layers of Prima sprays & mica powders until I achieved the
 exact colour I was after.

Prima Products Used
Prima Art Basics Heavy Gesso & Light Texture Paste
Prima "Magnolia" Stencil,
Prima Color Bloom Sprays Plumeria, Cotton Candy & Pastel Iris.
Prima Mica Powders in both Purple & Pink
Prima White Resin Angel, White Metal Clock & White Zipper Pull
PLUS
(Most of the flowers but I don't know the names as they are from
older Prima collections & I have coloured them to match my layout)

2Crafty Chipboard blog

Guest Designing with The 2Crafty DT Girls
At Scrap Around the World
CANVAS - "Perfection"

Hi there paper peeps. Today I have a CANVAS to show you that I did
as part of a GDT gig for 2Crafty Chipboard over at Scrap Around the World.
Although I am on the SATW team I am also on the 2Crafty team too & the 2Crafty
girls are GDT there this month so I have actually joined in with both teams.

No problem though because I just LOOOVE this October moodboard.

So bright & colourful with so many things to inspire you.
As always they have 12 prizes up for grabs again this month too.

 2Crafty Chipboard Used

These are the lovely 2Crafty chippies I have used.
Perfection - title
Handrawn Feathers
Mini ATC Hearts & Stars
Frame Celia's Flourish
Rita's Swirly Border
Freda's Butterflies

I have taken my inspiration from the blues & greens in the moodboard.
I have also added some gold accents for effect. I have also added
some little gold chippie hearts which were also inspired by the moodboard.

I was also inspired to add these gorgeous chippie feathers
by the birds wings in the moodboard too.

Some yummy flowers.

Lots of stamping & layering.

Well thats all for today. I hope you like my canvas
half as much as I enjoyed creating it.

"A Bear In A Box" Card
I Made For My NEW Grandbaby

As most of you probably know, my youngest son & his wife had
a gorgeous baby boy a couple of weeks ago.
So I put my thinking cap on because I wanted to make a really
CUTE baby boy card !!!
This is what I came up with.

If you are not familiar with the concept of a  "card in a box",
believe it or not this actually folds up flat for postage etc &
then pops back up like this.

I do looove that little bear.
I have also put his name "Henry" on the little pop up bits too.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my card.
Hope you like it.

Until next time.

Guest Designing Over At Kraft Plus Challenge Blog
For 2Crafty Chipboard
"Beautiful Little Girl"

Hi there paper peeps. Thanks for stopping by.
I was recently invited to be a Guest Designer along with some of the other
DT girls from 2Crafty Chipboard this month over at the
Kraft Plus challenge blog.

This month their challenge is called
"Inspired by Nature"

You have to use feathers plus any other natural items.

2Crafty Chipboard used

In keeping with the challenge I used some vines threaded through my chippie frame.

Some shells & a real starfish.

Along with my chippie feathers I have also added a little birds nest,
to keep with the theme of "real things from nature".

I have to say I really enjoyed this challenge.

Thanks so much to Sandra and her team for having us 2Crafty
girls as your guests this month. It has been fun.
Until next time
