"Beauty" .... My Green Tara Reveal

Hi everyone. It is my turn up on the Green Tara blog today
 & this is my layout.

Naturally I have used lots of their gorgeous fabric flowers, including "Damask", "Heirloom", "Sakura", "Red Gardenia"
as well as lots of different sized Roses.
They have got  lots of new ones as well as new colours on the way.
Probably only a week or two away.  Ooooooh how exciting.

Also on this layout I have also used lots of my favourite
2 Crafty chipboard as well.
The title "Beauty"Doilies  Key Set Mini's are all  from the
 vast 2 Crafty  range.

I have cut the doileys in half & that way they go a little further,
 great for the budget!
I have also textured, misted & stamped my background.

Thanks for calling by today & if you would like to see more, pop over to the Green Tara blog

While you are there, why don't you "Follow" them so
 you don't miss anything.
Green Tara are also on Facebook  so don't forget to visit us over there
& again we would love you to be a "follower" as well.

CSI #32 Memories

Woooo Hoooo. I made it on the "Watch List" over at CSI.
Thanks to Debbie & her amazing team.

I haven't done any challenges for over a month, just DT work  & I'm definitely  having withdrawals, so when I saw the current challenge #32 over at CSI  I just had to join in. Loved these colours &
 I had the perfect photo.

I live on the sunny Central Coast of NSW here in Australia & I am surrounded by  several beaches. There is nothing as relaxing as spending some time relaxing by the ocean, I only wish I wasn't so time poor so I could do it more often.

For my "Testimony" I have journalled on this little Kraft tag about how time at the beach transforms & calms you. I have tucked this tag in on the right side of my layout.

For my "Evidence" I have used four things....
1. Used wet mediums ie Gesso, texture paste & mists.
2. Textured Paper. I have created lots of textures with mediums on my white cardstock.
3. Soften Edges. I have distressed all of my edges to soften them.
4. I have used both burlap & gauze.

I have tied  my bow with a great little mesh ribbon from Green Tara, as well  I have used one of their White Flower Sprays which I have twisted & curled.

I have also used some real shells.
Thanks for calling by. Until next time.

My 2 Crafty DT. Reveal
"Smile"

Hi everyone, thanks for calling by. Just wanted to show you my 2 Crafty chipboard DT reveal. So much has been happening over at 2 Crafty. We have a brand NEW DT made up of some awesome girls, most of whom you probably know, I was also appointed DT Co Ordinator & then on top of that they had the most fantastic blog makeover. Make sure you pop over & check it out.

First up is this layout I did using one of the NEW 2 Crafty
 11" Viney Page Frame.

I gave this chipboard frame a "faux" wood finish.

I was pleased how this wood effect turned out. If you want to know exactly how I achieved this, I have explained it all  over on the 2 Crafty blog.

I have also used lots of gorgeous Green Tara roses, velvet leaves & also I tied this bow with another of their gorgeous, wire edge ribbons. The wire edge makes the bow sit beautifully. Green Tara literally have hundreds of delightful ribbons.

Lastly, to finish off  I have used a  little

Next up is
"Magical Memories"

This layout again features three pieces of yummy 2 Crafty chipboard.

A rare layout of myself. We were embarking on a cruise with some friends & we indulged ourselves with a ride to the boat terminal in a Limousine. This photo was taken  in the back of the Limo & I am actually sipping champagne ( out of view of the camera of course).
First piece is this chippie title, Magical Memories.
Which I thought summed up the moment perfectly.

Next I used a fab little 2 Crafty chippie flourish, Fifi's Flourish
underneath my flower cluster & then finished off with this little frame,
Frames Tiny Henri's.
I have simply painted these chippie pieces in a plain black acrylic paint
so that  they would stand out on the page.

Well thats all for today, thanks for calling by. If you have a chance, pop over & check out the
NEW 2 Crafty blog & we would love you to be a "follower".

Until next time.

My 2 Crafty Chipboard DT Post...
"Sneak Peeks"

Just thought I would show you some "Sneak Peeks" of my
2 Crafty Chipboard DT reveal. Pop over to their blog to see all the pictures & info  etc.
This layout  is using one of their NEW release page frames which I have given a "Faux" wood look to.
All the details  & instructions on how to achieve this "faux" wood are on the 2 Crafty blog.

Next up  I did this layout which I based on a TCR colour pallette from a few weeks back & I have taken inspiration from Solange Marques. I did some online classes of hers. I do so love her background techniques.
I have used lots of yummy 2 Crafty chippies here too.
I love the chippies painted black against the bright colours & the background textures.

Lastly there is a  boy layout that a lot of you have you have probably seen before.
I had done it previously for a challenge.
This little boy is just so sweet he could actually be a little girl if I didn't know better!!

All of my gorgeous chippies I have used are from 2 Crafty Chipboard
of course.

Make sure you pop over to the 2 Crafty blog & see what all the amazing DT girls have been doing.

ALSO
Don't forget to pop over to 2 Crafty on FACEBOOK & be a "Follower
so you don't miss anything.
The NEW DT are really producing some incredible work.

Flowers for Di ........

Hi everyone, I am soooo having blogging withdrawals. I haven't had a chance to do anything other than DT work that I cannot share until Monday, so I thought I would show you this gorgeous picture of some flowers that one of my students gave me the other day.
I was quite overwhelmed, she said that I always give them a great day so she wanted to do something nice for me in return.  Isn't that so lovely.  It is so nice to feel appreciated.
I am so lucky to have so many lovely students.
Just thought I would share this with you.
Have a great weekend.

My White With One D.T. Layout
"Santorini"

Hi  everyone, welcome to a new month & our NEW challenge over at White With 1.
This months challenge over at WW1 is

                WHITE  +  MAPS  +
TRAVEL EMBELLISHMENTS

Too easy. Heaven only knows we all have so many holiday pics, so here is your chance  to actually get some onto a layout.
This is my youngest son, Kale, my baby. When he was still at Uni,  in their break,  a few of them went on holidays to England & Europe. These  photos were taken in Santorini in the Greek Isles.
I have never been there but he tells me it is the most beautiful place in the world,  just like the postcards.

I have to admit, I am rather pleased how this turned out, I did struggle in the beginning!
Both of my sons have travelled extensively & they are always at me to scrap their holiday snaps.
At least now I can say I have made a start!

I have loads of holiday type of embellies in my stash, sitting there in readiness for  when I eventually get around to scrapping all of their holidays snaps. It felt good to actually use some of them!!!
The little map tucked up in the right corner behind the photo, I actually downloaded  off the internet, cut it into a circle, inked the edges to age it up a bit, & viola,
a FREE embellishment to fit in with the challenge!!!

I absolutely adore this little quote....
"The world is a book and those who do not travel, read only one page"
I suppose that sums it all up.

I do hope you can find the time to join in the fun with this months challenge over at WW1.
Pop over to their blog & see all of the other DT's fabulous layouts & hopefully
be inspired to join in the fun.
Until next time.

Cheers Di  xo

My Kraft It Up DT Layout
"Precious"

Hi bloggers. Well here we are at the start of yet another new month. Where has the year gone? The start of the new month means lots of new challenges to tempt us all. This is my DT layout for  Kraft it Up.

This months challenge is to use this great little sketch
with a Kraft background & the rest is up to you. Too easy.

For my background I have used a Kraft coloured piece of corrugated. I just love the texture!!

As always I have used lots of my favourite 2 Crafty chipboard pieces.

2 Crafty Products Used
  Esther Name Plate (Frame)
Chicken Wire Panel  (cut up & scrunched)
Cherry Blossom ( cut into pieces)
 "Precious" Mini Word
I have used lots of Gesso on these as well as some Tim Holtz Crackle Paint. I just love this stuff!!!

I have also done a little fussy cutting here underneath my chipboard "Cherry Blossom" which I have simply layered over the top of it.

Next up I  used lots of yummy Green Tara goodies, from my big flower to the rosebuds as well as my bow. I do love this mesh ribbon. Definitely one of my favourites, & it goes so well with the Kraft colours.

Well I hope I have given you some inspiration to join in this months challenge over at
Until next time.

Cheers Di  xo
