My June Card Classes

Hi there friends, thanks for stopping by.
Just a quick post today. These are the cards I will be teaching
at my two regular monthly card classes at my local scrap store.
.
These are also available as a kit, contact me for details.

This month I thought I would make my theme the
"Sunrise Lilllies" from Heartfelt Creations.
Oh my goodness, these stamp / die sets are delicious.

These are sold with the stamp set & a matching die to cut it out, too easy.
I have stamped these onto white card & then coloured them up using distress inks.

I have also used their "Regal Borders" on these cards as well.

I have used some 2Crafty Chipboard  greetings too.
These are the only thing not included in the kit.'They are an add on.

A little added glitter for a touch of WOW factor.

If you live in Sydney or the Central Coast/Newcastle areas, & would like
to come along just message me & I will arrange it for you.
Alternatively, as I said earlier, these also come in a kit for mail out.
Just contact me via facebook for details.

Well thats all for today.
Until next time.

"Amazing Beauty"
Part Two Of My May DT Reveal For
Maja Design

Hello there, thanks for stopping by. Today I have another layout to share with you for
Maja Design.  I have again used their fabulous "Vintage Summer Basics" collection.
It has to be one of my favourite Maja Design collections.

For the panel across the middle of my layout I have used their "1905" paper & for my
background I have used the "1932" paper & as you can see they compliment each
other so well. Because they are fairly neutral too, you can then add pretty much any
accessory colour. Here I have added pinks & yellows.

amazing beauty 4

Naturally I have used lots of pretty flowers to create the mood I was after.

Before I started, I added a light coat of gesso to the papers which makes naturally makes
them a little lighter, but I wanted to then do a little stencilling with some texture paste.
When I had finished the stencilling, I then added a little pink in the way of some mists
& finished off with some stamping. I always like to add a little mixed media to my layouts.

I have also used some lovely little mini words, heart frame & chippie foliage

amazing beauty 6

I must say I do love that 2Crafty chippie heart frame. :)

Here are the Maja Design "Vintage Summer Basics" papers I have used to create my layout.
The one on the left is the "1905" & the one on the right is the "1932". Fabulous aren't they.

Well thats all for today. Until next time.

My 2Crafty Chipboard May DT Reveal
Part Two
"Today & Forever"

Hi there friends, thanks for stopping by.
Today I have part two of my May DT rveal for
I have gone with a very pastel mixed media
background background & lots of fussy cutting.

2Crafty Chipboard Used...
Corner Swirly Heart Set
Leafy Shrub Set #3
Today & Everyday title

All of my chipboard pieces on this layout were treated in the same way.
First a coat of gesso as a base coat, followed by a coat of purple metallic
acrylic paint & then I brushed them over with a little copper mica powder
which I watered down to make it light & to add a bit of a vintage feel.

I absolutely adore this "Corner Swirly Heart". They come with
two in a pack but as you can see I have only used the one here.

It really is so delicate & makes the perfect embellishment to draw the eye to the photo.

Next I have poked pieces of the "Leafy Shrub Set #3" here & there amongst the flowers.

Well thats all from me today. I hope you like my layout & that I have
inspired you just a little. If you do, please be sure to leave me a comment.

Until next time.

My May DT Reveal For 2Crafty Chipboard
Part One
"My Everything"

Hi there, thanks for stopping by the blog. Today I have part one of my
May 2Crafty DT reveal to share with you.

My layout features my God daughter when she was pregnant.
To start off I did a watercolour background.

2Crafty Chipboard Used
My Everything title
Fine Leafy Bush
Chicken Wire Panel
Tiny Leaf Stems

Next up I gave the title a light coat of gesso followed by a some Shimmerz
"Chocolate Diamondz". I also treated some "Tiny Leaf Stems" in the same
way & popped a few of those around my layout too.

I cut the "chicken wire panel" into pieces & tucked a few in around my layout
& I just left these in their raw state. I wanted it to match the kraft colour flowers.

I love this flair button you see here, I thought it was just perfect for my layout.

Next came the "Fine Leafy Bush", which I treated the same as the title. Then I cut
it into several pieces & just popped them in here & there around the layout.

Thats all for today. I will be back in a a few days with part two.

Until then.

My Maja Design May DT Reveal
"Sweet Girl"

Hello there paper friends  & welcome to the blog.
Today I am up on the Maja Design blog with this layout I did
featuring my little grandaughter Mia & I have done it a little different
to how I normally scrap!!! I have actually fussy cut the photo out and made it
a little 3D against the background. I have used some papers from the
Maja Design "Vintage Summer Basics" collection.

I must say I do love this photo, just look at that animated look on her face!!!!

Naturally I have gone with lots of beautiful flowers & I have painted all the
2Crafty chipboard in black to create a good contrast to this fabulous paper.
I have also done some mixed media around the photo cluster & added lots of
stamping, micro beads & added a little watercolour as well.

Here is a close up of the photo fussy cut out. It is a great idea if there are things you don't
want to see in the background of the photo, although not all photos are suitable for
doing this & I would never cut up an original
.

For my background I have used the "1891" paper & I have torn a strip to place along
both the top & bottom edges using the "1905" paper. Both these papers are from the
 "Vintage Summer Basics" collection.

Maja Design Papers Used

Well thats all for today.
If you liked my layout, I would love you to leave me a comment or two.
 See you back here soon.
Until then.

"A Moment In Time"
My May DT Reveal For
More Than Words Challenge

Hi everyone, thank for stopping by.
Today I have my DT reveal for the May challenge over at
More Than Words blog.

This months challenge word is "MOMENT"
& the creative challenge is "CLOCKS"
& remember you must use BOTH parts of the challenge to be
eligible to win any of the EIGHT prizes !!!
I really loooove this months challenge. :)

Well I have always been crazy about clocks. I think they are the perfect symbol of time,
& I truly think that just goes hand in hand with scrapbooking.

Now I have used lots & lots of metal clock across my layout as well as some tiny cogs too.

I have also tucked in a chipboard clock behind my photo too.
Both my title, cogs & the chippie clock are all from 2Crafty chipboard.

I have gony crazy with stamping, crushed glass glitter & glass beads too.
I really wanted to grunge up my layout.

I think my favourite thing on my layout would have to be this fob watch
& chain. I absolutely LOVE this & it fits the challenge perfectly.

Well I hope I have inspired you to play along with us at
More Than Words challenge this month.
Remember there are
EIGHT FABULOUS MONTHLY PRIZES on offer too.

Until next time.
