June Challenge at Berry71Bleu
"Those Were the Days"
With Shirley Temple

Hi there friends. Today I have a vintage inspired layout
featuring they super sweet Shirley Temple.
This months challenge over at Berry71Bleu is to firstly
use more than one photo & to create a layout
about your
 Favorite Movie or TV Show
or
 Favorite Actor or Actress.

For my layout I was inspired by the super sweet Shirley Temple .
As a young girl I would watch her movies over & over again.
I always loved her singing & dancing routines.
She was just the sweetest little girl.

All of my gorgeous chipboard including my title, Leafy Rounds
& the Skeleton Clock Frames are all from
2Crafty Chipboard.

Lots of pretties to set the scene.

Thanks for calling by & I hope you like my layout.
Until next time.

My 2Crafty Chipboard DT Reveal
Part Three
"Our Sweet Girl"

Hi there friends, thanks for calling by.
Today I have part two of my June DT reveal for 2Crafty Chipboard.

This layout is of my ADORABLE Grandaughter, Mia. I cannot believe how this
little munchkin has turned my heart into mush. I never thought it would happen
to me, but it has. She has been overseas for 6 weeks visiting her other
Grandmother, so I thought I would do a layout of her.
She came home last night, we missed her soooooo much.

To start off with I have used one of the many 2Crafty titles,
"Our Sweet Girl".

In this pic you can see I have used one of their "2014" dates.
These come on a sheet of about nine pieces.

Next up I used one of their  "Small Crazy Circle Panel". It is approximately
about 6"square & I love to cut these up. That way I generally get two layouts
our of one panel.

Lastly I have used some of their chippie "Butterflies" &  a few of
their  "Retro Flowers"  tucked in at the sides of my flower clusters.

Thats all from me today, I hope you like my layout & call
back again soon.

Guest Designing with the Girls from
2Crafty Chipboard
"At Scrap Around the World"

"Loving These Moments"

Hi there friends, thanks for calling by.
Today both myself & some of the other 2Crafty Chipboard design team girls
are "guest designers" over at the Scrap Around the World  blog.
Now I am also part of the design team at SATW & this month I am fortunate
enough to be the hostess, actually this is the current moodboard I designed.
However I thought I would create another layout inspired by this June
moodboard so I can also play along with all my team mates from

So here is my second layout this month that was inspired by this moodboard.

June Moodboard

This is a pic of my hubby & myself & I must say I do love it.
Not often we seem to both be in front of the camera.

All of this gorgeous chipboard is from 2 Crafty Chipboard including this title
"Loving These Moments". I have cut it into three pieces & placed
it seperately.

This gorgeous "Lina's Swirl" is one of their new release pieces.
Just the perfect piece to place here at the side of my photo.

Little pieces of their "Chicken Wire" & some of their many "Butterflies"
scattered throughout the page.

A  few scattered tiny "ATC mini hearts".
These have definitely become one of my go to products of late.
I seem to be adding them to lots of my work.
They are a nice finishing touch.

Finishing off with this beautiful string of hearts which is another
new 2Crafty piece from the "Arrows-Funky Set".

Well thats all for today, I do hope you too will find some time to
perhaps join in with us over at Scrap Around the World
challenge blog & play along with  this months moodboard challenge.
They have SIX AMAZING PRIZES up for grabs.
Until next time.

CSI Case File #126
"Retirement & Fun"

YAY!!!! I am so happy, just found out that my layout
made it on to the "Most Wanted List"  over at CSI.
Thank you so much to Debbi & all her team.

Hi friends, thanks for calling by.
Today I have my layout for the current challenge  #126
for over at CSI (Color Stories Inspiration blog).
I have been so time poor these past few weeks, but
when I saw this case file I knew I just had to make time.
So I stayed up until 2am to get it finished & here it is.

So here are the case file  details. I just love these colours.
Now I have just retired a month ago & I my layout is a tribute to
"My Retirement".
Based on the fact that I should now have so much more free time when
things settle down & I get organised after the sale of my business.
I live in a beach side suburb so I am looking forward to having LOTS
of wonderful lazy days on our local  beach & lots of well deserved holidays too.
Because I was self employed, I haven't had a holiday in eight years!!!
Can you believe it.

For my "Testimony" I have written a little story documenting
my retirement & I have tucked it in here behind the pics.
It says.....
On the 2nd May 2014 I finally retired.
I sold my scrapbook shop at
The Entrance & I can now
finally, after working most of my
adult life, enjoy some well
deserved, quality
"Me Time"
doing whatever I want.
I say, bring it on!!!
I am now ready for the next
chapter of my life & in
the words of the famous Tim Holtz,
"Enjoy the Journey"
& that is what I plan to do.

For my Evidence I have used four things...
1.  polka dots
2.  flowers & leaves
3.  ampersand
4.  scallops (on the top of my tags)

I have used lots of gorgeous 2Crafty chipboard here
including this fab little beach umberella, deck chair
& sunglasses to help me set the scene for my layout
because the beach is where I plan on spending a
lot more time.

Thanks for taking the time to call by & read my little story.
Until next time.

My 2Crafty Chipboard June DT Reveal
Part One
"#Hashtag Selfie"

Hi friends, thanks for calling by.
Today I have part one of my June DT reveal for 2Crafty Chipboard.
This is a pic of myself & my best friend Cherie, being SILLY!!!

2Crafty have just released a set of title all about SELFIES & this is just one
of the titles from that "Selfies Word Pack".
Just the perfect title for this photo.

Here you can see another of their new release pieces,
"Word Circles Set #2".  They come with six different word
circles in a pack. Just the perfect accessory.
I have also added a couple of their "Chevrons".

On the right side of my photo you may notice that arrow, it is actually
like a paper clip & it comes on a sheet with a whole heap of different
style arrows. This pack is called "Funky Arrow" pack.

Lots of fun background treatments.

I have scattered some tiny hearts around my layout. These come from
the "ATC Tiny Hearts & Stars Pack". I have been putting these
on most of my layouts lately. They are just the perfect finishing touch.
They come on a sheet of about fifty plus pieces. Great value.

A Card Made From
The Scraps of Darkness
"Twisted & Tangled" May Kit

Hello friends, thanks for calling by.
Yesterday was my beautiful daughter in laws birthday
so I thought I would make her a card & matching envelope
using the
May kit from "Scraps Of Darkness"

This beautiful flourish frame & the  happy birthday chippie
words are both from 2Crafty Chipboard.

The papers including the butterflies which I fussy cut
from one of the papers & all the flowers, all came from the
"Twisted & Tangled" May  kit.
I also used their "Flower Add On Kit" too.
Scroll down to see pics below

I also made a matching envelope from one of the papers too.
I love using a double sided paper to make an envelope,
because when you open it, you see the other pretty side.
In this case, it is the butterflies which I have also  cut
out & put on the front of the card.

I have already made two layouts from this kit as it is
just so jammed packed with so many beautiful products
& I still have loads left. Definitely good value.

Click HERE to see the layouts I made using this kit.

Until next time.

My Heart & Soul June DT Reveal
"Perfect Moment"

Hi friends, thanks for calling by.
Today I have my June DT reveal for the

This is the colour palette for this month. As well as using these colours,
you also have to include some "fabric".

I always love a monochromatic palette & green
is my most favourite colour.

For my fabric element I have use some hessian (burlap) to tie this knott.

As well as using some muslin fabric, frayed a little & placed underneath
my photo.  As always, lots of textures.

Lots of yummy mixed media on my background as
well as lots of layers too.

And of course I always have to include some flowers, don't
think I could do a layout without them.

Hope you can join in with this months challenge.

My Scrap Around the World
June DT Reveal
"Home Sweet Home"

Hi there friends, thanks for calling by.
Today I  have my June DT reveal for
"Scrap Around the World"
challenge blog & this month was my turn to create the
moodboard(below) & host this months challenge.

  June Moodboard.

Feel free to interpret the mood board in any way you like,
using one image, several of them, all of them or even just
one aspect of an image, using ANY COLOURS!

My layout was inspired by the little house , the bike, the sunflowers,
the picket fence, the brick paving as well as the stripes
and the colours scheme, pretty much everything
& above all, how much I love, living where I live.
It is my little piece of heaven.

This is a picture of the front door of my house.
This whole moodboard just screamed at me to scrap
this pic of my house & my friends at 2 Crafty Chipboard
had all of these chippies pieces that helped me set the scene
of my layout starting off with this title,
"Home Sweet Home". Says it all, don't you agree?

I
I just had to use this sweet little "Bicycle". I just love it as well
as the little chippie "Picket Fence".

Here you can see the little" house", another cute little 2Crafty chippie piece.
The number eight is my house number.

Lots of background paints, textures, inks & stamping & some
stripe paper in keeping with my interpretation of the moodboard.

To finish off with I was lucky enough to have all these little sunflowers
in my flower stash & they were just perfect for my layout.

This is just my interpretation of this moodboard, you will probably
have a totally interpretation. You don't have to use these colours.
You are free to use whatever colours you like.
You don't have to take your inspiration from every image, you might
take your inspiration from just one aspect of maybe just one image.
Feel free to interpret it any way you like.
I hope you will play along with us at "Scrap Around the World"
