My Layout for 1-2-3 Challenge
"Old World Charm"

Hi there, thanks for stopping by. Today a have a vintage layout to
show you that I have done for the August challenge over at the
I haven't played along before & so when I saw the brief,
I was hooked, as vintage is one of my favourite styles.

Here is the brief....

This gorgeous photo is of my Great Grandmothers sister, so I guess
that makes her my "Great Great Aunt", I think !!!
Anyway her name was Doris Colless & this pic was taken
in about 1907. My mother tells me that she died when I
was a small baby.
You may have seen a couple of layouts I have scrapped
of her before, but hey why not, how lucky am I to have these
beautiful pictures of a family member & to actually
know the history that goes with it ?

As part of the criteria for this challenge was to use the word "OLD"
I spoke to my good friends at 2 Crafty chipboard &
asked them to make this title up for me. Thanks Vanessa.

This beautiful flourish is also from 2 Crafty chipboard.

Don't you just love this little cameo embellishment, I think it
matches her necklace ? When I found this I just knew it was
the perfect thing to finish off my layout with.

I really enjoyed doing this challenge & I found the
three part criteria  a great challenge too.
Definitely think I will be playing along again.

Well thats it for another day.
Until next time.

"Parisian Border"
"Tiny Henri's Frame"
"Thistle Shrub"

Here you can see the fabulous  "Thistle Shrub" trailing from beneath
my flower cluster as well as part of the "Parisian Border".

Once Upon A Sketch August Challenge
"The Magic of You"

Hi there, thanks for calling by.
Today I have my layout that I have done for the August challenge over at

Here  is the current sketch, & as always I have tweeked it up a little.
The journalling theme this month is
"I'll never forget" which can be interpreted in either a
good or bad way.

(click on pic to enlarge)

This little sweetie is the Grandaughter of a good friend, & just after
this pic was taken she took her first steps, much to the delight of
her Mummy & Daddy. So this was a very special & memorable
occasion for the family.

This sweet little title, "The Magic of You" is from
2 Crafty chipboard, as is this chippie chicken wire.

I have done lots of background treatments using various
mediums & mists. I have also used lots of beautiful
Green Tara flowers, pearl trim  & this is one of their
many beautiful laces. It was white & I misted it pink
to match my layout.

I also made this wreath from some Green Tara
" wired cord." I was so happy how it turned out.

Here is my journalling.

Thanks so much for taking the time to call by.
I do hope you liked my layout.
Until next time.

Guest Designing for C.S.I.
Case File #83
"Lifes Good"

Hello again & thanks for stopping by.
For the month of August 2 Crafty Chipboard are the sponsors over at the
CSI challenge blog & all of us 2 Crafty design team girls are joining in
as "Guest Detectives". Woo Hoo so much fun.
This is "Case File #83" with all the info.
(click on this pic to enlarge)

For my "Evidence" I have used six things from the list.
1. stripes  2.  labels  3.  tags  4. travel accents
5. stamps  6.  punches.

Naturally I have used lots of gorgeous 2 Crafty chipboard, starting off with
this fab title, "Lifes Good", I think this says it all. As well I have
used one of their cute little "Polaroid Frames" &  this
little "Luggage" stack.

In this pic you can see this great "World Globe" which is part of their
latest range as well as some of their "Filmstrips" too.
2 Crafty have such a great range of chipboard there is always
somethings to suit any theme you want to scrap.
We really are spoilt for choice.

For the  "Testimony" part of the criteria I have created a
checklist in the form of a tag & simply tucked it in behind
the photo. Too easy.

Well that just about wraps up this case file so thank you
to Debbie & all the team over at CSI for having us.
Make sure you pop over to CSI & check out this
fabulous challenge & remember the 2 Crafty Design Team girls
will be "Guest DT's" all throughout August.

Until next weeks case file.
