My Scrap Around the World December DT Reveal"Merry & Bright"

Hi there friends, thanks for stopping by.
Today I have my December DT reveal for
Scrap Around the World
based on our wonderful December moodboard designed 
by DT member, Valia Katzaki from Greece.
I loved working with this moodboard Valia. Thanks so much.

Naturally I have used some lovely new chippie pieces from my favourite
chippie company 2Crafty Chipboard.

I have heat embossed all the chippie pieces with gold embossing powder.

I love the way the gold looks teamed with the wonderful

pinks from the moodboard.

This new "Festive Music Notes" chippie piece has to be a favourite !!!

After heat embossing it I cut it into a few pieces for maximum effect.

Lots of mixed media on my background as well as lots

of yummy gold micro beads.

Well that pretty much sums it up.
I hope I have inspired you in some small way.

Sadly this will be my last DT post for  Scrap Around the World
becuase this is their last challenge before they close their doors.

It has been a great experience to be part of this fabulous team &
Helen Tilbury has been a wonderful leader. I have learn't so much from her.

My 2 Crafty November DT Reveal - Part Two"Hello Beautiful Girl"

Hi there friends, thanks for stopping by. Today I have part two of my 

November DT reveal for 2Crafty chipboard.

In this layout I have used another pic of my grandaughter,  taken when she was just three weeks old.   2Crafty chipboard used... Hello Beautiful - title Lattice Leaves Corner Arches Vintage Hot Air Balloons

For my title, I used the "Hello Beautiful"& added a little mini word "GIRL", also from
the 2Crafty range. All my chippie pieces were firstly given a coat of gesso which
 creates a great base upon which you can add just about anything.

Lots & lots of fussy cutting here. Love those little owls. :)

On all these pieces I simply used some Prima Chalk Inks to add colour to 

the chippies, then I brushed over a little bit of water to make the ink runny
 & to give it a bit of a water colour effect as opposed to a solid colour.

I just love those "Lattice Leaves" tucked in to my flower clusters.

    Lastly I cut up the "Corner Arches" and placed them end to end underneath  the photo & then heat embossed them.  I do love the way you can adapt chipboard that way.     If you would like to win some of this fab 2Crafty chipboard,

My 2Crafty Chipboard November DT Reveal"Pure Joy"Prima November BAP Challenge

 Hi there paper friends, thanks for stopping by. 

Today I have part one of my 2Crafty Chipboard

November DT reveal to share with you.

 It features my beautiful grandaughter Mia. We took these pics last 

week and I couldn't wait to scrap them. I have based this layout on the

November BAP challenge over on the Prima blog.

 I started off with this fab new title to the 2Crafty range, "Pure Joy"

and is just what she is to us all.

All of my chippies pieces on this layout for firstly given a coat of

gesso & here on the title I have followed that with some aqua green Prima Mica powder.

 The little "Olivia Frames" I gave a coat of white acrylic paint after the gesso

because I wanted them to be really bright white & stand out.

I have also added a couple of 2Crafty "Addy's Butterflies" to my layout.

Here you can see the "Corner Ivy" which I cut in half to create a border with instead

of using it as a corner. This is such a beautiful piece, so fine & delicate & again 

 I have again used an aqua green Mica Powder to colour it.

  Oh I do wish you could see how sparkly this background is in real life. If you watch the video you will see how easy it is to do too.

  I think the tiny bit of red just sets the whole thing off.
