 Hi everyone. I've just  finished  off my layout for the current challenge #101 over at The Color Room. As always the colour pallete was so soft & pretty & a friend of mine gave me this photo she had taken by a photographer recently of her new baby girl.  If you look close at the pic you will see they have little fairy wings on her back. Her name is Baby Evelyn. All those lovely old fashioned names are making a comeback.

 I though this pallette & this pic were a match made in heaven, although these photos the colour looks a lot more mauve than it really is.  I really wanted to do a super girly, over the top flowery feminine layout. 

I have used so many gorgeous Green Tara flowers. They have just released a NEW fabric flower range to go with all there other lovely flowers. ALL of these flowers & velvet  leaves are Green Tara & cost  well under some of the other well known brands. All of these flowers cost under $9 retail, not bad value hey. The big white one in the centre is one of the new ones, so yummy. The lace is also a Green Tara one.

For my background &  have done Gesso butterflies & loads of Glimmermist in a couple of different colours. The background paper is one of the new release Prima papers, although you can't really see it!!

CSI Challenge #9"You Are So Beautiful To Me"

 Hello everyone. Just wanted to share my layout I have just finished for the current challenge #9 over at CSI. This picture below shows the colour pallette  & all the criteria for the current challenge..

 

                                  For my "Evidence" I have used

I do love these colours & I have used a lovely "Dusty Attic" chipboard frame that I have just simply  painted white. I have also used both Green Tara & Prima  flowers. To finish off  I have also misted & sewn my background paper.

My beautiful little bow is also another gorgeous double sided  ribbon from Green Tara.

CR84FN Card Colour Challenge

Hi everyone. Well today this is a first for me. I have entered  my very first  "Card Challenge" over at CR84FN. I saw this colour pallette & I just had to give it a go. I mean hey, why not, I design & teach cardmaking as well as scrapbooking, so why not have a go at a card challenge. I enter so many scrap challenges but I have never entered a card challenge before. So, here is my card. I am right into yellows at the moment.

The challenge was to use yellow, grey & kraft. Such a pretty colour pallette.

 

I have used a Darkroom Door set of stamps which I have fussy cut. I have also Glimmermisted my background layer behind the lady in both the grey & yellow as well as the  ribbon to get the right shade of yellow too. I have distressed most of my edges & did a bit of border punching to finish it off.

YEAH !!! I was a Winner at "White With 1"

Kraft It Up March Challenge "Just Be You"

Hi everyone. I just wanted to share my DT layout for this months Kraft it Up challenge. This months criteria was a 1.2.3.4.5. challenge.

                                                 5  Embellishments

 

I do sooo love a Kraft background on a layout. I have yet to find a colour that doesn't go with Kraft. I love these bright colours with it on my layout. Lots of grunge, lots of layers & lots of texture. Hmmm right up my alley.  I then  finished off with these  little 2 Crafty chippie Kites,  which I have painted & Wordlet that I have cut up & painted. Anyway pop over to the Kraft It Up blog & see what the other DT girls have done. I am sure you will find some great inspiration over there & hopefully join in the fun & give this months challenge a go. #98 The Color Room "Sweet"

Hi everyone, here is my layout, I have just finished, I didn't think I would make the deadline. I have been sooo busy this week. So glad I did as I am rather pleased with it, all things considered.  This is for challenge #98 over at The Color Room. I actually did this layout several weeks ago but I soooo was not happy with it, so, I totally pulled it apart & totally remade it, as these pics were too nice not to use. This layout started life green & has ended up purple!!!

 

I have used 2 Crafty chippy circles, frame & little birdhouse. I so love that little frame that I have put my word on. I have also done some stamping, misting, painting & I used a new "Sand Medium" on my circles before I painted them white just to get some nice texture happening.
